Unless you're dwayne who posts all the race links, how about you can only start 3 topics on race night?

Personal attacks are not called for. When I signed up here, I did so looking for good info on MX and SX racing. The home page links to just about everything, and it's an easy site to navigate, as well.

My son wanted to read the internet and find out "what happened after the race" " were James and Chad really mad at each other?" So we sit down and do some reading ( i don't let him on the web without me looking over his shoulder). And I couldnt even let him read because some of the language and comments were so bad.

I belong to another site where you have to supply an ID to join. It's kept civil and the members respect each other.

I don't know if a MX board should do that, but i signature my posts with my name at the bottom. i never understood why a person with sling insults and be too coward to post their name?

i read a lot of posts the last two days and there seem to be only a few people that post using their actual name. Maybe if a person posted with a name they would be less likely to sling insults and stupid rhetoric?

Then maybe this isn't the place for you.

This is "the mean forum"

If you want the butterflies and sunshine mx forum, this ain't it

No disrespect my friend, but this is NOT the average MX forum and definitely not for kids. This place has always had an edge and been a bit over the top and hopefully it will stay that way. I post here for the laughs and when I want information I go to one of the thousands of "clean" boards available. I hope you can stick around and get the feel of this place and I'm sure you'll grow to love it like the rest of us!

There are tons of great sites that you and your son can enjoy together.

Once they're done, I'll sticky them and leave it at the top of the forum.
I haven't read the three pages yet.

I'm all for the rules you put in place. My only comment, make sure they have teeth if they are broken.

Thanks for all your efforts.

I'm sorry, I was just offering some "ideas" to the thread, that the original poster started asking for idea's for new rules.

I didn't mean to cross any lines.

Canadians do have a sense of humor....they have to.

See the joke there?...harmless, and civilized.

All I'm saying is imagine yourself as somebody who gets their bread and butter from motocross. Perhaps even a newbie that hasn't raced but just went to an awsome race. I think the reason for this thread is to say that it has gotten way out of hand, which it has.

There are many more effiecent ways to express yourself other than "STFU Noob"

Brooks is an example on the professional front. The guy wore his heart on his sleeve. If I had to read about professional supercross from the noob perspecive, I would think that this sport is the most corrupt and unsportsmen of all. Some of you draw that conclusion...the AMA is a bad deal, don't get me started on roadracing. The best in the world that we come through this series do not bullshit people. They just don't. WHY? because they have to feel the consequences if it blows up in their face.

Even though I'm probably the first person he would ban

You might be right. Can you recommend another site, even if it's a pay site, i would rather pay and not get dragged into other peoples personal disagreements.

This looks like a really cool site, but already i can tell there seem to be a few people who act as if it's their own personal playground.

I came here excited to talk SX/MX with other sports enthusiasts like me, but so far I've been insulted, and had my welcome thread destroyed by people talking about things I'd rather not know about.

Thank you, Tom.

No problem, Tom, I'm just trying to share honestly how it is here.
You didn't cross any lines.
Many of us have been around each other for 10 years or more and we've migrated from board to board on several occasions.
We are the wretched refuse, and we're ok with that, but I don't want you to expect something that will never happen

BTW Tom, if you give the place a chance, you'll come to like it.
One of the original rules, that I am sure GuyB will post up with the new ones, is that it's a good idea for noobs (that's you) to lurk for awhile before jumping in with both feet. Learn who is who, their personalities and what their game is before running onto the field screaming "look at me"
Just take it slow, and you'll see this is a good place for the most part (maybe not for the youngin's though)

Once they're done, I'll sticky them and leave it at the top of the forum.
Good point.

....and no using words like "suffice". Dumb it down Mister.

This is a good place to start. Maybe GuyB should indicate this on the site so everyone knows that it is exactly "The Mean Forum".

That way everyone knows what to expect....including LB and the rest of the MX elite.

........or maybe a change is in order so GuyB can get a nights sleep without wondering if someone is being a fucker to the wrong person.

Licensed Professional VitalDrive Fisherman License #2009_001 *renewed*

Does this gentlemen run this site?, maybe I should just keep to myself and learn more "cool dad stuff" about SX/MX so i can share more with my son.

I thought trying to contribute to a thread with honest idea's, especially coming from a "new guy" would be appropriate in this thread given the topic.

Tom.
