How many people think

Reed was slightly holding back the first 8 laps or so? No discredit to Kevin or anybody else, but it just seemed to me he had more in tank and going "just fast enough".
When James races him, those 2 are a half lap ahead of everybody by lap 8.

i dont beleive he was holding back... best startegy is to get away as fast as you can so while everyone else is charging up to the front your reseerving your energy so that when push comes to shove you've got plenty left... if was a good race by all the top 5 riders... would have been interesting to see what would have happened to KW ( as far as moving close enough to challenge reedy) if he wasnt riding on a flat tire for over half the race...

Reed made a lot of mistakes the first 6 laps. KW was there to keep the pressure on and make him keep making those mistakes. Once he gets breathing room he's able to relax and concentrate on the track and subsequently, pulls away.

I wish Millsaps would have been able to get clear of KW a little quicker to see if he'd been able to make some sort of battle with Chad. I still think Millsaps needs more conditioning though.

Reed said he was not riding well in the interview. I think he was struggling until he figured out how to jump the triple. Reed seems to have those occasionally and I think this was one of those days. That is bad news for others if he is struggling and still can win it.

It looked to me like the main thing allowing KW to pressue Reed was Reed's not tripling thru that rhythm section. Once Reed got that section down after a few laps, he pulled away and KW was busy fending off DM.

KW had a flat front tire... He seemed to be giving Reed fits while he had a functional front wheel.

Has anyone noticed Reed looks fast in the whoops this year? I saw him reel in James in the whoops section which was shocking. I am sure many of you will say it doesn't count because James was hurt. Which is probably valid but riding hurt is just a fact of life in this sport.

I got some free tickets from a friend and got to sit i "the diamond club" right behind home plate, 6 rows from front. Anyway, yeah in the early stages, Kdub had some better lines and REED made a couple mistakes thru a rhythm kevin had down. IDK after that, but Reed then checked out after millsaps started in on kdub.

CR has always been feast in the whoops. That's where he'd gotten RC so many times.
