Looked smoother than in previous years. I remember the last couple years thinking it was super choppy and a tough test of outdoor fitness.

They didn't water Friday night due to the rain, they weren't sure how much they would get so the track wasn't was soft as previous years.

Call me crazy, but I enjoyed the hardpack. Some variety in track conditions is nice, it's a different set of skills to go fast in those conditions.

Like said above, they didn't rip deep and flood the track on Friday night. Which is good because the normal prep plus the rain cell that went through Friday night would have made a massive Mudder.

The track was smooth and fast, was not rutted so the guys could ride all over the track and it kept the pack tighter than normal, which isn't a bad thing.

But if it was normal 90* weather instead of 60* and partly cloudy with a passing rain storm, that track would have dried out and would have been dusty with that type of prep. The Dirt Diggers know what they are doing and watched the weather.
