This is what I love about the GPs.

I know it's only practice but Marc de Reuver hasn't really been up there for ages. Now we're at a sand track and just like that - all of a sudden he's right back in it. Crazy! I hope he does well tomorrow and in the qualifier today.

Big Ken and De Reuver could mix it up with the regular top six guys this weekend, both have the speed to win or podium... but they will have to put in a blinding performance to beat that man Cairoli.

I hope Herlings can last the full weekend.

Wow!! the pace Herlings and Roczen set at the front of that heat race was unbelievable!!!! Woohoo

Nearly 50 seconds ahead of Anstie in 3rd!!!!!Shocked ... and the race was only 20 min long...

If you are able to open up a 4 second gap on Ken Roczen in less than a lap - you are doing something right!
Amazing from Jeffrey. It's early days but I don't see anyone who can beat this guy next year at the MXDN.

Ken also put in a good performance but more importantly is uninjured and will be able to go the distance tomorrow.

With such a performance from Bobryshev , I see a GP of Russia in a near future. Russians got a lot of money to throw towards YS.

They did a few years ago (maybe it was Dorna), and apparently it was a mafia convention in a big pit if I remember correctly. It would be be great if they did, though, and put on good event at a natural track

The track looks awesome today.

Yeah I still have that one on DVD. I didn't think the track looked that bad to be honest - Coppins and Pichon had a good battle.

Wait, the KGB doesn't exist any more . . .

Had some interesting interactions with various Russians and the government(s) in a case involving diamonds back in the midst of the Yeltsin era. We ended up not taking it, but it made for an interesting couple weeks.

Yeah, I don't recall the track being that bad, but in a country where you wouldn't think land use restrictions would be a big deal, maybe they couldn't have laid out a pretty cool undeveloped track. Be interesting to see that race; think we mainly got stills here.
