That is just waiting to get hacked. The fact that its bluetooth and talks to other peoples devices ....hell no.

I can only imagine the trace route that data packs go/could go with a device like that.

Well I guess I skimmed too fast while reading about it. Yep 100 ft is useless. I kinda assumed it used gps signal or something so you could find your bike 2000 miles away.

It would be a great device if it had unlimited range. Small enough to hide it anywhere on the bike and at 29$ you can't go wrong but with a range of 100ft it's useless for something like moto or anything else associated with theft/recovery.

It has its purpose but unfortunately not for this application. With all the tech out there I wonder why something like this hasn't been developed with a wider range. I'm no tech geek but I'm sure it wouldn't cost all that much to make. Sell it 50$ if you have to. 50$ would be a small investment for 8K+ bikes.
