A throwback to the 70s, when it was common for manufacturers to use an existing/proven engine in their own chassis and brand name.. ie, Sachs motors in early Penton/KTMs, etc

I had no idea Yamaha owns Motor Minarelli... there's another motor that's been used in all kinds of different brand bikes..

Yup, Fantics used to be Gas Gases, but now that Gas Gases are Katooms, Fantics are YZs.

Ancillotti did this a few years back, KTM motors in Yamaha chassis, man I remember Fantic motorcycles in Italy as s child, they were everywhere

The Fantic Super Rocket 50 (right) was a popular little racer in the early 70’s. It used a Minarelli motor back then too, the Italjet Tarbo next to it ran the same engine.

Meh. They're basically just Yamaha's now. The older Fantics were works of Italian art. Bellisima!
