Failed train jump?

Looking at Colin Morrison's IG it appears the infamous Kyle highway jumper attempted the OG train jump and didn't make it. Any more info?

Same jump we saw in videos 20 years ago. Same one Colin Morrison did 7 or 8 years ago. I live just a couple miles from this spot...

I'm curious as to what (if any) prep was done with the take-off becauae last I saw (maybe a year ago) what was once a relatively easy looking gap now looked extremely dangerous due to erosion. They would have had to shovel it for hours to make it work.

Simi Valley by G. I. Rubbish? My dad worked there n would have us jog home over by campus canyon. We would hop on those tracks n get a little shortcut while being kids putting forks on the tracks n watching them get smooshed. I always remember looking at the lip when we would drive by n say I'm gonna jump that lol

That's the one!

Cruised over there real quick after work. They definitely prepped the jump and now there is a small cross setup to the side of the lip...

Got some additional info, which I won't share out of respect for those involved. I would rather they and/or Colin say what they want to say when they feel like it.

Per Morrison's IG, looks like Channel 4 News (NBC out here) interviewed him and it will air tonight.

EDIT: The cross is unrelated to this incident,didn't want to confuse anyone.

Yes, same dude as the Hwy 60 jump. He crashed hard on the landing and took a trip to the hospital with significant injuries.
"Someone" filmed it, but I haven't seen it.

The filmer is Mike French I believe, but I don't see anything on either Instagram yet.

I thought Colin's dad asked him if he died would it be worth it. Referring to back when Colin did it no kyle. Just my take on it. Scummy did have a brief update on kyle on his IG. Head trauma and a lot of broken bones but he will make it

What I've pieced together off of social media including Morrison's Facebook video is that he suffered some pretty bad head trauma and quite a few broken bones, but will recover. Someone else said his bike hit a bump at the peak of the take off causing the front end to drop shortly thereafter, that's quite distance and height to go without the bike if true. Hope he's as good as can be.

If you look at the video from the news they show the top of the lip. Looks like there was kicker right where he hit it.
