Huge fan of Derek even before "driven to ride" , hard working privateer, has now got himself a double digit number for 2013 like he has in the past before he got hurt, 2009...I believe..... Wonder if any team is going to pick him up? As Matthes would say...."great guy, great guy!!" hope he gets something!

I agree, Derek is a great rider. I had the opportunity of working with him and Tucker this season as their oil sponsor and they always showed our brand in the best way.

Great job on the series.

I think Derek did a great job for what he had ( very little ) this year. You see him taking a bath in a river , eating fast food , on the road going from race to race......just think what he could be capable of if he got to fly to the races , train properly and have a badass bike under him. I fucking dig this guy.......and I hope some team see's him for what he really is.....A true core moto guy that has given up a lot to try and make a name for himself!

that driven to ride series was awesome. derek and tucker gave it 110 percent all the time. cant believe he almost ripped a holeshot on a stock bike with jb welds holding the cases together. hope the best for both of them.

Derek is a great person. Always down to earth never an attitude. Hope he can land on a team, but if he doesn't I'm sure he'll keep racing and giving it all he's got.

Like Scott, I had the ability to work with Derek this season. Since a short bit before Driven to Ride started actually. He is truly the same guy who comes across in the video series; down to earth, funny, hard working, and focused... and full of comic relief. I sure hope someone gives him a chance. He has great form on the bike, great determination, and would do awesome in Supercross as well.

As for Tucker, I only know him from the outside looking in and met him a few times. He seems like a cool cat, and I dig his perseverance all season.

My son and I seen them pull into Log Rd MX on 4th of July, went over to talk to them, couple cool guys! And I liked the series, that Ryan Riddick episode was filmed there, and it was up on fb that night, im in the background about 2 minutes into it, pretty cool episode

I went by their pits at Elsinore and Derek said he was on his way over to MotoConcepts to talk to them. Hope it went well! Driven to Ride was awesome!

This is pretty far down the list so i know people probably wont see this but thank you everyone for the support! Unfortunately nothing has came about yet. Thinking about pulling a Chad Reed and trying to do my own thing for west coast lites supercross. The guy from MotoConcepts said that Jake and Mike were going to be the only two on that team so that wont be a go. Thank you Scott and Chris and i look forward to continue working with bel ray and race tech!

Derek...........dude....I'm cheering for you every race. Wish I could of made it out to Washougal this year to say hello. Know a lot of guys you race against and have never heard one bad thing about you.......pretty much that you're a class act. I hope some team out there realizes what you could bring to the table with the right equipment and some help with getting to the races. More rest , more time to train and better bikes......you would do nothing but get better. Good luck man , and congrats on the season you had.....I'm sure next year will be even better!

The Driven to ride series certainly helped keep some interest in the 450 class each round, I am sure everyone following the series was doing what I was and Checking into see how you guys went each weekend.

Does PC still have a spot open ? Smile

Derek, you guys put together something that made me 10x more interested in the races. It was like a pregame show for every weekend. While watching the races I was watching the ticker half the time to see where you were at. Good luck!
