On Supercross and focus on outdoors now?

*****Total clickbait headline, I probably deserve a downvote just for that. lol*****

Hear me out. Deano is averaging an 11th place finish over the first 6 rounds, if he keeps at it the best, he's most likely looking at is a finishing in the top 10 overall.

I say he still races SX but put his work towards the outdoors from here out. Most likely he wouldn't drop back too much in the SX standings, but he could get a huge jump on the competition for outdoors. He is a former outdoor champion, and it wasn't a fluke. He has serious speed and a healthy Deano could do some serious damage outdoors and a podium threat every week and most likely end up in the top 5 at the end of the season.

Other than the jackass clickbait title what do you think about mentally shutting down on one series and focusing on the other? Injuries have killed too many of his seasons I'd like to see him make some noise before hanging the boots up.

Better yet why doesn’t he skip the rest of SX and the outdoors to prepare for killing everyone in 2023? Downvote applied

These guys on the cusp of top 10 are sponsored to get eyes on the bike/ team. Part of that is racing and social media - this is a job for him lol

I never said stop racing, just focus training and prep on outdoors now. Keep racing, keep Deano'ing but just start working on outdoors. SX results would slip at the most 2 places, talent is talent.

And does his team keep paying him to not race the rest of SX? I think I’ll try this at work. Take the next 6 months off to prepare to really work hard in the fall. Sounds good!

One would think it’d be pretty hard to spend all week testing for outdoors and then just flippantly send it through a set of whoops like last week's with your mind only 60% committed to placing decent in 450SX while simultaneously only focusing on not getting hurt. I’m sure this would be a recipe for success.

Where did I say not race? Reading comprehension is a beautiful thing. I really doubt they would miss you at work.

Did I say he wasn't?

I said a healthy Deano with Ferrandis level focus was a top 5 outdoors guy. I think that's pretty badass myself.

Typical Vitards, unable to understand nuances and think outside the box. Not to mention I lol'ed at my own post, I'm just throwing shit at the wall. Does no one ever stream of consciousness talk? I thought that's what bench racing was. You guys go on back to talking about Vince Friese.

I will never grasp why people say this about guys like Wilson who are damn near consistent top 10 but never bring up Martin who is constantly at the back.

Factory ride worthy? Eh, may not hold on to it after contract.

But quit?! Nah, like at all.

Because supercross pays the bills
A couple of spots extra outdoors is worth less to those paying him than the exposure of a full SX season

Another one with superb reading comprehension.

Where did I say quit?

I'll wait....................................

Brayton races SX only and he's a genius who knows how to extend his career. I suggest Deano concentrates on the discipline he is actually a former national champion in and I'm a freaking idiot........ SMDH

So let me get this straight, continue to race SX but train for outdoors in hopes to improve outdoor results because top 10 in SX in the WORLD sucks. Got it.....

Hi Cooksey
Funny enough I have heard Cooksey say they were two different sports.

In that case and you were Husky and wanted the best possible chance for sucess in both disciplines you would put Mookie in SX and Deano outdoors, wouldn't you?

I think you make a fair point. I don’t understand all the downvotes.

I a lot of pros shine at SX and have mediocre outdoor seasons in comparison to their potential if they were fresh (Webb comes to mind last year). Staying healthy backing it down in SX doesn’t seem all that bad and I bet it is what Dylan will end up doing.

To your point about all the downvotes, he basically asked for them in the op.

I think all the downvotes are for the clickbaity title.

Yeah, it's bush league, but my hope is always to have someone read a thread title and say, "WTF is this Jackwagon talking about?" and then open it up and see I'm making a fair point that is maybe out of the ordinary but just crazy enough to work. Like I said if 10 years ago I would suggest Brayton take the summer off and collect stacks overseas people would probably call me an idiot.

I guess you would have to have held the towel in order to know when to throw it in.
