This was actually mentioned by another member in the Flo Mavtv thread ( whyZ) but what a chance for him to do a first story. Whatever it takes I'd figure it out and make it happen. Probably the biggest story in moto ever ( even more so with the Wold Supercross coming to life ) with so many questions and the timing. I was shocked by the amount of people that didn't know who he is... If he landed this interview there wouldn't be a single person that's even remotely interested in this sport that wouldn't know who he is.
oh, and another project idea, a wrap up show of the Gipsy Tales moto related podcasts where you could filter the expletive language down to a family friendly podcast while also not over-bro-ing the guests. Some vitards might enjoy that. Hope Jase and you can work something out.
cheers,

BUT this is EXACTLY what we're talking about when it comes to journalism in this sport.
He won't talk about it? Of course he won't, because the precedent has been set for years that the truly hard questions won't be asked.
How dare the people who enable this sport to even be somewhat successful (weekend warriors, ticket-purchasers, website-vistors) want real answers about one of the biggest fails this sport has ever seen.
I don't know if DC was complicit in this failure, I don't know if he knew it was a risk and lied to us (I tend to think he didn't lie), and I definitely don't know where the train actually left the tracks.
We are left to speculate and wonder why. Which brings us back to your response....he won't answer.
I don't even expect him to come on here and subject himself to the irrational and all-knowing Vitards, that's a lose-lose for him.
We all just want answers, period. He SHOULD go on a podcast, or release a Weege-Style YouTube/Social Media video laying things out.
It's really unfortunate that probably won't happen. Hopefully Flo is a huge improvement...regardless, I think the PAYING customers who were promised a certain product at the beginning of the nationals deserve some real answers.
MX is a close knit community and Vital (at least IMO) plays a huge role in it. Now that you work for Vital it makes sense to me for you guys to do a legit interview to hash out some things and clear the air. We WANT to hear his side of the story and get some clarification on what all went down. I think it could do a whole lot of good to tame down so many of the members here wanting to rake him over the coals when nobody has a clear understanding of what truly happened and what the future of outdoor MX holds.
DC has always seemed like a stand-up guy who has been a great communicator. For this MAVTV debacle to be the thing that ruins that reputation, when all it would have taken was more communication is a sad outcome.
I'm not saying his reputation is ruined, to be clear. I'm saying this could have been handled much much more professionally. We paid for that service. He promised it would be better.
So which is it? Was it the only and last resort, or was it the best option, as he basically said when it came out....?? BIG difference maker.
Pit Row
With the amount of people who follow and invest in this sport , compared to some little league baseball game with 1500 people attending , that gets 3 hour coverage on ESPN...........
Why in the living Sam Hill can't we moto dudes watch our damn races? Even paying extra for it!
Their entire package is flawless!
Follow that program would be my suggestion.
Safe to say, we're all willing to pay a fair price for the content....just don't fvck us or leave us hanging. If it actually goes to $30.00 a month next year, you might as well shut it all down now.
No matter what wingnut service comes next....I'm going to wait before signing up until the reviews are in.
No chance I'm going to sign up for Flo based on what we're seeing so far.
I'm sure there will be books written on the time the streaming aspect of the TV package moved to a different platform.
did they promise they could deliver?
when did you realize there were issues?
what did you do to remedy them?
The moto community was upset - why not engage them publicly and not just with PR?
With the early issues, how did Mav try to fix things?
When did you realize it was a lost cause?
how did hte FLO transition happen?
What's your relationship like with Mav now?
What are your early plans for next season?
then transition to WSX and what he's seeing happening there with WSX vs Outdoors.
"witch hunt" isn't necessary but it's long overdue for moto media to actually ADDRESS issues in our sport instead of fist bumping their moto buddies and just sweeping things under the rug.
in all fairness ML, I think you're really trying to move the needle a little with this. GuyB was famous for ignoring the moto news and then simply deleting anything that might upset his friends follow by admonishing the users for even asking hard questions. I have appreciated your rumormill content and the work I've seen you doing.
The riders are faster than ever, the gear is arguably the best its ever looked, the bikes..6 major mfg.'s and another on the way. Time to look in the mirror.
