Has there ever been, in the history of Supercross - a bigger jacked-up, stacked-up,

wadded-up heap of well-colored debris - than the 250 (Lites?) main at Dallas ?

I counted fifty two bikes, seventy-three riders and three sets of spare bars and levers

tossed about like a dirt tsunami in a retarded shopping - cart factory.

Nobody injured, no red-flagging and most of the top dudes down ?

That, my friends, was a Category Five (5) Incident.

Rates right up there with the French-Onion soup explosion at the #6 Condom plant

cafeteria fire in July - of 1985.

It was bizarre. From my point of view it looked like dominos.

I still don't understand why they let riders run down the floor to re enter the track after the start.

They should put tough blocks out just past the corner and make them re enter closer to the corner.

it would force them to get back on the track behind anyone that didn't crash.

What a cluster. As a matter of fact, there were yard sales all over the place, tuff block wrestling in numerous locations and a lot of general chaos. Does anyone have an injury report?

they should have starts like that more often.....more excitement for the pundents and fans...

It is, after all, a show right?

Reminded me of a crummy opening break in a game of 8-ball. Lot of stuff bouncing off of other stuff, but nothing really going anywhere.

Personally I say next week the starting line should have whoops right out of the gate and make a hairpin 20 feet out.................... would produce a cleaner start.

P.S... Do you think for a split second Kilbarger thought he had the holeshot...? Yes Yes Yes I've got it.................. Aughhh fuggg.

yes, I thought if basicly the whole pack goes down it constitutes a red flag but it makes for good racing and upsets

To my knowledge, the red flag is only to be put out if a rider is injured and can't be taken off the track before the other racers are coming around or worse, etc. or there was a malfunction of the starting gate.

It should be red flagged if more then 5 riders are involved (in the first corner).

AMA Supercross Rulebook, Chapter 5, Par 3 :

" If the rider sees a whole bunch of his fellow riders all strewn about the track - and there

looks to be an avenue of opportunity, quickly glance around to see if anyone's

watchin' - if not, go ahead and see if you can get away with it. . Hell, you know damn

well if the schnizzle was on the other foot, those bungholes wouldn't be waiting for you..."

I was surprised they had such a lame first turn. Nice long start but Dirt Wurx stubbed their toe on that layout IMO.

Haven't seen Jacksonville but I hope it is back to their quality first turns we've come to know and love as well as having the flat turns that made Atlanta the best racing of the year in BOTH classes.

Look at Baggets' burnout mark. Takes talent to lay that down and not wipe out!

They restarted the LCQ for pretty much no reason, then they dont restart that after most all of the fild goes down and guys have to go off the track to get around it. When I saw the green flag waving when they came across the finish line my jaw was on the floor.

On a side not I loved the layout, it actually looked challenging and not a super-fast-one-lined-made-for-stewart-freeway.
