Mr. Consistency is known for his consistent ability to make supercross podiums. He is NOT known for crashing. But over the past three years, he has shown remarkable consistency for his ability to get James to hit the ground

2009 - A1: Chad fell in the whoops, knocking James down and out of the race
2010 - PHX: Chad rammed James in a turn, sending both down and breaking his own hand
2011 - ATL: Chad cut James off, causing them both to go down

By the timeline, we can see this trend is a fairly new development in the career of the Aussie supercross superstar. Is this an intentional new tactic, the "if you can't beat 'em, wreck 'em" strategy? If so, how long before bones are broken and seasons ruined?

You're a shitty fisherman.

2009, Stewart ran into Reed. That's what caused the crash.

But regardless, you're just fishing, and in my opinion, this post should be deleted for stupidity.

Holy cow, Steve, who was leading at the time in 2009? You say it was Reed?

By the way, name-calling isn't like you.

clearly you are a BIG JAMES STEWART fan

2009 james missed a gear and took himself and chad out HANDING A WIN TO JG

2010 the two took different lines and totally really was a racing incedent

2011 chad took a gamble hoping james would let off and he wqas too stubborn to do so , he'd choose to crash and get fourth than settle for 2nd , but he expected chad to accept that fact and settle for 2nd himself and chad decided hey im this close at the end of the race so F@#$ THAT !

I thought so. Been wrong before.

Regardless, like I said, you're just fishing. Reed and Stewart have both taken down their fair share, and if we put numbers side-by-side, I'm betting Stewart has taken out more dudes than Reed has. And I never talked crap about it, either, because that's how motocross racing - and especially supercross racing - is. It's a contact sport.

Ask Bob Hannah, Ricky Johnson, Damon Bradshaw, Jeff Matiasevich, Ricky Carmichael, etc. You must've hated all of those guys, huh?

The racers police themselves, and if one guy becomes too much of a wrecking ball, other guys take care of it.

Reed did intend to take Stewart out in Vegas in 2009, but in Anaheim, that was not a takeout move regardless of who hit whom.

Exactly. RC once hit his own teammate, Stephane Roncada, so hard he nearly broke his leg through his Alpinestars.

Racing isn't a pussy sport. It's not a time trial. It's a god-damned race, and you do what you need to do in order to get to the checkers first. Stuffing dudes, block-passing, and even putting guys over berms represent varying levels of what is acceptable as contact. Cutting across in the air, like Vince Friese has been known to do, is not acceptable, and racers get really pissed about it.

I'd be pissed if I got taken out, and I've been taken out plenty, but that doesn't make me a victim. It's racing. Racers race. Stewart and Reed are both bad asses, and P-Dub is not. P-Dub is a sideline-sitter whining because his home team lost. That's not impressive. Reed and Stewart are impressive. P-Dub is not.

If the roles were reversed, Stewart would've done the same thing. And Stewart will bring it back at Reed; you can count on it. But that is also racing as long as it doesn't cross the line into seriously dangerous shit like cutting across in the air.

They do seem to come together a lot, but A1 2009- Bubba missed a shift and jacked Reed. 2010-PHX 2 differing lines that came together-racing icident 2011-ATL Racing incident. They are just the fastest 2 guys and are wanting to occupy the same territory at the same time. Chad does not seem to crash as much as JS7 nor take people out like he has and still does.JS7 has made himself quite a hit list over the years with Tedesco, Carmichael, Reed, Preston , McGrath, JT$ and so on and so on...........Let the record speak for itself...and the qeustion should really be "how long until James takes the career of a fellow rider?"

Yes.

When I put a quote as a signature online like this, normally it's something I agree with, or something that would be very obviously not something I agree with.

Do you think aliens could've traveled from another planet to ours using the known laws of physics?
