I don't know how many of you frequent TheCHIVE but it is probably my all time favorite website. Today in their DAR (Daily Afternoon Randomness) they featured a screenshot of Chad mid-crash (Chad in DAR from last weekend, which leads me to believe some of you frequent this site also.

Anyways, I took that screenshot and made it better IMO.

Motocross - bike optional.

I was at Millville the year Ricky Carmichael lapped everybody in moto2 in the mud. Crazy stuff seems to happen there regularly.

I wonder if RV's pit let him know that Chad Reed was OK. Even a professional would be affected if another racer died or was paralyzed right in front of him.

Saw this at work too when surfing the chive. Was a cool surprise to see in DAR.

Also just saw a preview of Reed's crash on the local NBC news in Charlotte tonight. Headline was "Motocross race goes horribly wrong, tune in at 11 for more"... lol

I'm not sure what kind of relationship these guys all have but I don't think I could have kept myself from stopping and checking on him myself if I were in Villopotos boots. I realize they're racing for money and a title but there's no way I could see that happen to my fellow competitor without stopping to see if he's still alive.

I spend WAAAAAAYYY too much time on the Chive. One of my pictures actually made the Chive once. ( unfortunatly it was NOT of my "future lower back problem" wife! Wink )

Was very surprised to see Reed on there today! Awesome!
