Tragedy struck the family of Carey Hart when his brother Anthony Hart died yesterday in a motorcycle accident. The wreck happened at Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut during a practice session.
The 21 year old, from Henderson, Nevada, was getting ready for a race in the Doug Henry New England Grand Prix which is part of the American Motorcyclist Association’s XTRM Supermoto Championship series.
Tony, as he was known in racing circles, was flown by Life Star medical helicopter to Hartford Hospital where he later died. Autopsy results are not expected until Monday, according to the Chief Medical Examiners office.

It is a dangerous sport, I accept it. Hang it out, or hang it up.

STAFFORD - The state medical examiner has determined that the 21-year-old motocross rider fatally injured in a crash during a practice run at Stafford Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon died of head injuries.
Rider Anthony Hart died of blunt force trauma to his head resulting from the crash, a spokeswoman for the medical examiner's office in Farmington said Wednesday.
The crash remains under investigation, state police spokesman Trooper William Tate, said Wednesday.
Hart, of Henderson, Nev., lost control of his motorcycle during practice and hit an outer track barricade at the speedway, state police have said. He died later Saturday at Hartford Hospital, where he had been taken by Life Star medical helicopter after the 3:30 p.m. incident.
Hart, known in racing circles as Tony, was the brother of freestyle motocross and reality television star Carey Hart, former husband of Grammy-winning pop star Pink.
In a statement, track officials said Hart was practicing Saturday for the Doug Henry New England Grand Prix when the crash occurred.
The event was sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association, part of the AMA XTRM Supermoto Championship series.
This is the second year that Stafford Motor Speedway has hosted the event, in which racers compete on the track's paved sections and on traditional dirt motocross sections in the infield.
