Curious, Does anybody have any experience with RXR Air Chest protector? This one to be exact https://rxrprotect.com/en/accueil/16-bullet-chest-protector-rxr-protect.html

Im in the market for a Chest Protector and not a flimsy roost protector. if anybody has any good insight or recommendation? I'm not necessarily looking for the alpinestar full body armor as much as i am more protection than these tiny roost protectors that may or maynot protect you from hard enough rock lol.

I just bought one of those but haven't rode with it yet. I've been riding with a TekVest Freestyle the last several years. After the last time breaking ribs a few years ago, I decided to step up the protection/coverage and started wearing the TekVest. I like the full coverage the TekVest offers, but the RXR looks like it might absorb more force (front or back, not sides) so I decided to try it.

Those look pretty good. I’ve been considering the A4 under protector for the extra lower back protection. Might look into this also

I’ve had two RXR’s and now a Leatt 3df suit and I can say for the money get the Leatt.

The RXR is good protection but I prefer the Leatt with the shoulder and forearm pads.

Also the RXR is very hot as the air cushions act like an insulator in the summer.

Thanks for the info. I had a get off 3 weeks ago and my armor had no shoulder protection. Long story short took lots of skin of both arms and right shoulder so i've looking into one of these.

We got the RXR in October, he wears it under his Jersey. He seems to like it. Definitely has crash tested it a few times.

Does he wear it without any type of undershirt?

Been using RXR for years, very happy with the quality. My son ran the old style, and I've been using the Bullet for about 2 years (the Bullet is much better than the original style). I have the arm guards, but have never used them.

I've got the Leatt 3DF, too. Like it a lot. I like having elbow guards because so many of my crashes are low-sides or what-not where I scrape my forearms in the dirt.

Had one of the early RXR's and I felt like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. Never really bounced in it, though.

Yep, feel safe both riding and crashing with mine for the past 2+ years.
I got it on a black Friday sale along with the shoulder/elbow guards: https://rxrprotect.com/en/shoulder-and-elbow-protection/13-1019-shoulde…

I don't feel like it's hotter than any other vest. When riding you're going to get hot regardless.
I also use a Leatt neck brace with it, a 6D helmet and EVS wrist guards.
