Digging old files out of my office harddrive and ran across.
Tribute to the "G.O.A.T.":
“A" i s for A-1, that you never won in your career. So what?
“B” is for Bubba, to whom you have passed the torch (may also be under “R” for Reed)
“C” is for Chad, who would have never gotten a title without you being hurt.
“D” is for Determination, which your whole career has summed up.
“E” is for Easy, which you have made every Outdoor title run look.
“F” is for Failure, which you don’t know the meaning of.
“G” is for GOAT. Nuff said..
“H” is for Hooray, which the other riders are cheering because you are retiring.
“I” is for IBS, which never bothered you in a race. Just crap in your pants.
“J” is for Justified, which your retirement is. You have nothing left to prove.
“K” is for Kamikaze. See your first 2 years on a 250.
“L” is for Lose. Please see “F”
“M” is for Mechanic. You owe much of your success to Goose and Watts..
“N” is for NASCAR. May you kick ass with the best of them.
“O” is for Obsession. This sport has been your life for 25 years.
“P” is for Pastries. Enjoy eating deserts again.
“Q” is for Quake, which all of your competitors do in their boots.
“R” is for Rich. Good for you for being one of the few to get that way in this sport.
“S” is for Sacrifice, which your parents did much of to get you where you are.
“T” is for Twins. Good luck with that.
“U” is for Ursula. See “T”
“V” is for Victory. Noone has stood on the top step of the podium so much.
“W” is for Whoops, which you never did pronounce right.
“X” is for Xerox. All of your Outdoor season are carbon copies.
“Y” is for You’re Welcome. What you say after handing everyone their ass for 10 years.
“Z” is for Zone. You defined the word year in and year out.
