So has anyone asked Josh Grant about the Thunder Valley/Allessi Incident? Just wonder what he has to say about it.

Using my powers of telepathy, here is what Grant has to say:

"I don't give a damn about that guy".

Oh, and by the way, my powers are impeccably accurate.

MA was going really slow and Grant was going really fast.
Shit happens.

I don't disagree, I just wondered if, given their history, he had said anything about it.

Mini racing history is beginning to wear on me.
These men are racing for their future. If you are in their way expect to get run over.

I would hope they'd get over that crap. It must have been a real PITA back then for these guys (several of them) to be carrying that monkey on their back now that they are pros.

That's a good question. I like both riders pretty much equally. After watching the vid on my Tivo over and over, I'm really not seeing any drama, personally.
I think it sucks that MA hit the dirt, but he looked slow, and Josh looked to hold his line on an off camber which (all of us who ride) we know is tricky enough.

Seemed like a bad deal all around. It's easy to say MA should have done this, JG should have done that. Stop and think though, it was the start of the race. Think about how crazy the first laps are in our races. Now, think about how important the "sprint" at the start is in pro racing in USMX.

Simply my opinion, but, as I watch it over and over (from the only angle we really have) it looked to me that MA just was doing his thing, as well as JG. MA was dropping positions like GenMotors early on. He's got heart for damn sure, but I don't think you can bash a guy for passing someone slower in the "sprint" phase of the race.

Let's hear from Josh!

What incident? All I saw was racing? Are we going to follow the same footsteps as the US homeland insecurity and use euphemisms to provide an alternate description to facts?

Should we just call racing a "Man Made Disaster"?

MA must have the IQ of an ant.

So, ok....

He decides to suit up.... (rolling eye balls)... is this about staying in the hunt.... or... seizing a media opportunity to look like some sort of hero motocross’r? My guess is the latter given his performance with Erin in the motor home later on. I mean give me a break! He can’t beat RV on the track, so let’s beat him in the PR sympathy game, yeah right!?!.

Anyway….

Want to know how I know it’s all about the photo-optics? If it was for real racing then he would have made sure to ride around in the back of the pack, pick off a few riders, and score a minimal amount of points. Who knows, in 3-4 weeks he might actually be competitive again. By putting himself out-front in the first lap, when he has the sustainment power for maybe one lap, well… you figure it out.

I was starting to gain “some” respect for MA and company, but after this STUNT, I’m with Decoster, get rid of this asshole and his whole efucking family.

It appears that you have the IQ of an ant with that post. No one is going to take that kind of risk for a little publicity, I don't care who it is. He really thought he might be able to save his shot at a championship...even though there was no chance.

Reed would've done the same thing (riding with a fesh injury) to preserve his SX champoinship.....Look MA had mad Balls to ride that race, did that contact need to happen? No I dont think it did and could've been avoided but it did and MA took the risk to ride furthering complicating his already fresh injury all for the only c'ship he may have a shot at taking with ease (sorry BobbyM but he faces a lot of stiff comp that is out right now and will be back). Can you believe the meltdown on here it JG's spot was replaced by other controversial riders like JLaw or Stewart and the same thing would've happened?

I was simply wondering if JG was willing to say anything. If he said it was an unfortunate racing incident, which is what I think it was, then fine. But given his feeling for MA I would be willing to bet he would say something smart ass about it and was wondering if anyone has asked him about it. Of course the best thing he can do is say nothing so maybe this is pointless.

I don't see anything wrong with Grant's pass.

If Alessi wasn't riding hurt, or if it had been anyone else, no one would question it.

But because MA was riding hurt, and ends up on the ground grabbing his bad peg, fans are letting their emotions get in the way of their judgement.

I must have missed that one, where did RD say that?

Unless, of course, it was in a private conversation you had with him, in which case I'm sure he's happy you're with him...

Which part did you want to ask him about?

-Where he had to move a wounded duck
-Raging Mini Dad in the JGR pits
-Little Brother in staging and down the start straight

The fact of all this is, just about every guy on the line would've done the same thing to Alessi as JGrant did. Excluding #801 of course! The 800 has a history with almost all of his competitors and most of them will tell you that he has it coming to him, someway, somehow and anytime & everytime...

100% a media opportunity.
