Sounds like Steve Smith (legendary downhill mtb rider) has passed away from a brain injury after an accident on his dirt bike...

RIP Stevie... You will be dearly missed Sad

A huge loss for the mountain bike community. Gone far too soon, happy trails Stevie.

Sad news for sure. Instagram shows his Enduro and some short clips. Guy was a ripper on the DH and probably the Enduro. Just like Gwin he's been riding KTM's.

Dude was elite in DH....this would be like dungey passing on a MTB
Exactly. Very sad. RIP.

Guy was on a heater 3 weeks ago at a world cup and got a flat. He must have been pretty upset, BUT he finishes his run and manuals across the finish line with the flat high in the air. That's the type of stuff that sticks with people.

This one made me choke up a little... 12 year old mtb phenom Jackson Goldstone posted this pic of him and Stevie:

Absolutly tragic. Out here in Western Canada he's a legend and such a cool dude. His passing was/is every cross country riders worst nightmare.
