Angled start gate make starts equal

Why don't they angle the start gates so all gates are the same distance from the first turn

I think it would be better if they left it the same as it is now but stagger the drop of each gate by a split second. That would be fun to watch. Smile

why don't they line up like NASCRAP based on timed qualifying.

the gate is not supposed to be totally equal. That is why earning your gate pick is so important

Buts its not equal, most of the time its not even close to equal, look at the A1 track the inside is way shorter

Excuse me, I am not retarded, I am a rider and a fan and as a fan the field is always to stacked with the top guys. Most of the time the inside rider gets the hole shot and race is over. It would be better for the fans to make it equal,

You know how much bumping and crashing we would see within the first 20 feet of the gate, and cutting over on guys popping out of their gates full force? I would assume much more then we see now.

There is atleast 10 positions that are equal enough. You can pull a holeshot from anywhere if you come off the line just perfect. Releasing that front brake, dropping the clutch, pulling a wheelie about 3 inches off the ground, front wheel isn't even spinning, grabbing a few gears, and just dropping everybody by a bike length! I love how in that first split second you know if you are going to get it or not. God I need to ride, it's been to long!

Mickey Thompson style with random gate pick reversals. Could make for some good charges from the back of the pack. I get that riders would feel penalized, as would I, but it would make the races more interesting to the fans.

Because it would be a unfair advantage to start on the outside because of less angle as you go in to the turn enabling a rider to carry more speed.

Gates should be set up with the inside at a 90 degree angle to the first trun.

While the outside is further, more speed can be carried going into the turn.
