IF ALREADY POSTED.... Apologies, I don't have time to sift !
Hello everyone its Mike
Well the motocross season had gone like I expected for about three races! I won four motos ,and two events , I feel I was the fastest rider in moto cross this year , however once again circumstances have prevented me from winning the championship , I feel is mine to win! after winning the Freestone National.
I was certain I could win every moto of every race the rest of the season , many riders were passing out ,and could barely stand up, and I felt like I could ride three more motos , and it was easy to win! the Monday after the freestone national I had an invite to do some media and press appearances, like live radio, and TV for the upcoming event at Hi Point National, I rode the track pretty carefully, getting ready for the reporters to arrive, however, I over shot a corner, got up on wet grass and slid down a hill into a fence post ...I never crashed!!.. when my front tire came in contact with the wood post , it jerked my handle bars into my left knee ...I knew right their my season was over !! Later that day I learned I had a broke knee cap, it was opened across the middle, and the bottom was broke in half.. I had it operated on the very next day, and within 30 hours of the injury I was in extensive rehab, and doing everything possible to make a return to the AMA MX series, which I still lead by 31 points! I missed the Hi Point National, but was still a very strong second in the series, and only loosed 19 points to the new point’s leader! I felt I still had a chance , so I trained ,and got myself back to racing by Lakewood ,only 19 days after my injury ...I had to try to stay in the championship!!! I knew if I could finish top ten, I would still have a very good chance at winning the championship!! When the race came at lake wood I was in inside the top 30 in practice one, and by practice two I was 21st fastest!! I was getting better every time I rode, and my confidence was rising!! when the race came I was second off the start , I planned on the faster guys getting by and I stayed out of their way ...I knew I could settle into about 8th or so ...which was my plan ,and it was working !!
However , I was hit hard by another rider ,and it was a blind hit which took out my front wheel , never saw it coming ...next thing I know , I am on the ground , trying to crawl off the course , my knee was hurting ,and I knew it was re injured ,tho I hoped it wasn't ! I rode for another lap or two, but I realized I was hurt and pulled off.. I got it checked and it was re broke, so the next day I was back to Morgan town WY, to have it re operated on ... So that brings us to now!! my knee is getting the full 6-8 weeks to recover ,and as of now I am almost 5 weeks into the repair of my knee ...i can walk pretty good , like hardly no limp at all ,and I am ready to get back in the gym ,and on a road bike very soon, I will most likely not race the rest of the season , not of my choice ,but I believe they are not wanting me back this season ...soooo I guess my first race back will be sometime in September ! I have some good opportunities, for next season, and my guess will be it’s not what everyone’s expecting! I think my schedule next year in
2010 will be very different then most racers in my class, but it’s what will work best for me !! I will win a motocross title next season , I know what’s needed to win, I know how to win , and I know what it takes .. there may be others out there with the same idea as me ,and think they can win, however I know exactly what is needed now , and I will win the 2010 MX title outdoors ..
I am writing this from Catalina Island, I am on vacation now!! As soon as I am 100% I will be back at it , I think it will be any time now ...I am counting the minutes to the day when I can get back to my program! To everyone who is behind me, I give you thanks!
Wow !! He's not full of himself....... I think he should look back to GH and RV

I used to like Alessi, I really thought he had turned himself around these last two years on Suzuki, but from this letter it really seems like he's still incredibly cocky and self-absorbed. Sounds like he and Suzuki aren't getting along too well... MX only contract with Yamaha?
He's a winner and has the confidence of a guy who's a winner.
The speed Mike Alessi had at Glen Helen, even though RV won, was frightening...if he gets his head in order a healthy Mike can win a title in 2010.

Was that a statement or question? I have bad grammer but should'nt you have not used a question mark there?
Good thing that boy can ride a dirt scooter!
What would you guys have the kid say?
something like that would work, giving the other riders respect while still letting everyone know you just as good, if not better, even though you are currently hurt/out of the series.
To me, confidence is believing in your own speed. Cockiness is underestimating the rest of the field. There's a difference in the two outlooks.
You guys are hating and the kid is a fighter , and a competiitor!!!
BUT they don't all circulate written (poorly) words that say that they are the best, they can ride 3 motos while everyone else passes out, I could have won every moto to finish the series, etc, etc....
Bob Hannah - just like he would, right?
fucking clueless.

Pit Row
"I strive for mediocrity."
"I only eat vanilla ice cream!"
"I only do my girl in missionary position!"
When guys do make comments about how well the other riders are doing people slam them for not being competitive. Alessi was the fastest guy after RV went down. Whether he had anything for Ryan or not he was at one point the fastest and he was consistent.
How has Alessi backed himself up though? He's mediocre in supercross, and still hasn't won a motocross title. I hate to say it, but this is the 2nd MX title he's crashed out of. Granted, he wasn't going to win the title last year, but he still took himself out of the championship. The kid works hard, and I'm sure he'll eventually win that championship, but I don't think it will happen until he changes his attitude.
After reading the part about his schedule being different, does that mean MXGP's, USMX only, or am I reading too deeply into his grammatical work of art?
curious, how many moto wins des Alessi have this year?
evey male born in the last 30 years was born with about a 1 in billions chance.
so you pretty much suck at shit talking.
and to the guy callin alessi a mediocre supercross rider?
the kid has gotten podiums in the premier class? explain to me who isn't a mediocre rider?
Post a reply to: Alessi.....
