ASV C5 levers!!

Can anyone here get me a set of black levers? I put in an order for these 2 months ago with Motosport and I've yet to get them. They gave me the run around blaming ASV with a manufacturing problem. I called ASV yesterday, no manufacturing problem. So, can anyone help? I have an 09 KX450F. So, no hot start needed.

Sunline V1-MDX... ASVs get all wadded up in a short time. I have a full year on my Sunlines and they are still solid, plus they move up and down!

X2. I just ordered a set through my buddy at WPS. They have them right in there warehouse. Shouldn't be a problem getting them from any WPS dealer.

Can you order directly from ASV? Seems like their website was set up for ordering...

Otherwise, maybe Motox151 on Motopen can hook you up...

X3! I had these on my old 2008 RM-Z250 and after I put those Sunlines on, I rode for 8 months before I got my new bike. Levers held up fine.

They only have blue and red in stock right now. Didn't think about Motox151. He never gets on the board anymore though. I've never looked at the Sunlines. I'll go check them out now.

If ASV doesn't have them, Moto won't be able to get them either... he orders direct from them as well.

Have you checked into the 3 series levers? Slightly different shape and shorter warranty period, but just as good for less $'s...

The Sunlines look pretty cool as well...

With the Sunline levers you need to check to make sure all the nuts and bolts are tight. First ride I had some rattle loose. They are the best "indestructible" levers I have used by a long shot.

I liked the price too. Then I realized that is for the lever only. Perch is sold seperatly. I saw an advertisement for them that said the clutch perch/lever combo was $200. Then you still have to buy the brake. So, they cost quite a bit more than ASV's. I'm doing research now to find a perch/lever combo. Haven't found one yet. Seems like people only sell the levers.

My ASV's have held up well, going on four years.

Aren't the Sunlines made in China? A friend bought a set. The first couple times one folded into the "up" position, it wouldn't fold back into position by hand (I gave it a wack with a rubber mallet). Kind of defeated the purpose I thought. They got easier to knock back into position by hand after that, so I'd recommend "breaking them in".

Paul, found a combo at BTOSports.com. Of course their website doesn't tell customers if they are in stock or not.

Wow! I just watched that video. They took ALOT more force to fold vertically or back into position than shown there. Did I stress ALOT? I was worried that they wouldn't fold in a crash, that's how stiff they were.

Guess you just needed to adjust the stiffness like they probably did for the video.

there is ajustment on the sunlines, they are great levers, i have had no problems in 6 months and would recomend to a friend

I have had no problems putting the levers back to a normal position, just hit the thing with your hand and it pops down.

Seems others have had a similar problem.

It's been awhile since I looked at them, but, if my memory serves me correctly, the large allen was merely a cap covering a smaller screw that would have required a special tool or modified tool to remove (I don't remember exactly). I called Sunline, and they said that it was not meant to be, or should not be removed or adjusted, and that it does take quite a bit of force to bend the lever out of position. Enough force, in my opinion, that initially, it would be very difficult to put back to riding position, especially by a smaller (kids) rider. Now mind you, this was about a year and a half ago, when the levers first came out. Maybe this was a QC problem that has since been worked out in the production process, but was a very real problem that I have first hand experience with.

The Sunlines are made in Taiwan, not Mainland China, so the quality control is 100 times better.

Anyone know why ARC doesn't list levers for an '02-03 CR250? They list them for the '04-07, which I thought was the same, if not very similar (ASV lists the same lever for '02-07)

i have 3 years on my AVS, no issues BUT... i got the sunlines, absolutely LOVE them except!!!

the brake lever, you WILL HAVE to do some grinding on the perch AND lever because of a touch of binding problem. for that much money, you shouldnt have to touch them.
