...another positive experience for us to report. We sent a crash damaged helmet to 6D for inspection and possible repair last Friday. Wednesday (this week) Scott from 6D called and gave us the report back on the helmet: Unrepairable, as the outer shell was cracked, ouch!
After going over the damage with us, 6D offered to sell us, from their overstock of 2014-15 Helmets, a new helmet at a big discount. What a relief.
They are sure making it hard to shop elsewhere for head protection. I am sold.

I hope they keep this customer service up. I like hearing of companies that do their customers right.

I know I feel safer in mine. Have not tested it except a small tip over but when my head hit the ground although not hard it felt like it was better than my other brands upon ground impact.
Privateerconnection hooked me up with the very best deal I could ask for.

You guys know how I feel about 6D! They are a small company who work really hard, and go above and beyond to provide for their customers.

He was unconscious for a bit over 6 minutes. He was transported to the trauma center, scans done and was checked out with a concussion, no bleeding etc, some muscle tears and no broken bones. He is recovering well and I am so thankful that we were able to get this helmet for him, as having witness the crash I am not to confident that his standard helmet would have been sufficient. I believe that this would have been a life threatening incident.

Trace, the rider, is one tough dude. Just got out of the Marines and is contagiously happy, especially about riding. :-)
