Hello guys and gals, First off, this isn't a traditional build thread. I actually already have most of the bike completed to my liking. But in the interest of helping others out and showcasing our bikes, I figured I would share. I've had a few people post and message me asking for details, so here we are. As I continue to build, I will add more to this thread.

My bike is a 2016 Husqvarna FC 350. I purchased it brand new in September of last year, just as the 2017's were rolling into the dealers. I got it from Hall's Cycles in Springfield, IL. By far the best buying experience I have ever had, motorcycle or otherwise. Jeff and the team there are top notch and have that great down home hospitality.

Enough jabbering, here are the pics......

First day I picked it up:

Thanks man!! I am thinking of powdercoating the frame and swingarm in the off-season.

Nice build, I had the exact same bike. Man those 2016 4CS forks were terrible though, I went back to a 2-stroke though and traded it in on a 2017 Husky TC250. The 2017 AER forks that you put on are so much better than the 2016 forks.

Oh yeah, the AER's are light years better than the 4CS. I never liked Honda or Kawasaki's air forks, so I was a little hesitant at first about making the switch. But I rode my buddy's KTM with them, and was sold right away.

Do you have a part number for those frame guards? Those are exactly what I am looking for?

Alex is correct. 7900309400033 is the KTM part number. $23 from Rocky Mountain ATV, and then I run the Moto Tape over them.

I guess I'm just a shitty rider because the 4cs forks feel fine to me. I just bought a brand knew (old stock) '15 FC450. I got the front and rear revalved and it feels amazing to me. I am coming from an '11 YZ450F.

I think the best part of the air forks, is that you can change the pressure for different styles of riding without having to open up the forks. We ride a lot of motocross, but we also do stadium (Supercross), and then also do some trail riding, so it's good to have the versatility.

I wanted to post an update as I haven't recently. Added a Rekluse Core EXP 3.0 auto clutch, Braking brand front rotor, an Acerbis front brake rotor guard, and Acerbis hand guards.

What do you think of the Rekluse? I have a '17 350 and I've been tossing around the idea...

I really like it when I ride in the woods. Almost feels like cheating, especially in the tight single track areas.

I do like it on the motocross track too. You can use the clutch lever like stock, out of the gate. Then the rest of the track, you don’t have to touch the lever. So sweet! All in all, I feel it was a great purchase, and well worth the money. I will be upgrading it with their Radius CX plates here shortly.

How is your bike coming along? I need to get with Dan for one of his intake cams. I've been procrastinating too long.

Bike looks awesome!

Good idea on the frame guards - I was waiting for the 18' ones!

Also I just got the same skid plate...looks like it has to be removed for oil changes?

Thanks man!

Yes, it does have to be removed, but it is one 4mm allen-head bolt at the front, below the header. I did not opt to run the rear brackets that slide over the frame as they were a pain to get right. I just slide the plate into the rear part by the linkage, and then tighten up the front bolt. It has been holding up great just like that.

Can I see a better picture of your skid plate? I bought the Acerbis Skid Plate for my 17 KTM 350 and the fit is horrendous!

I couldn't get the rear brackets to line up, I was going to zip tie the back but I didn't want it to look too cheesy. Any issues with it staying in place for you without the rear brackets?

I couldn't get the rear brackets to line up either. I know they are the same frames as the KTM's, but something is off with them. I just slide the rear lip in by the linkage, and bolt the front in, under the header. I race woods and moto, and I've never had an issue.

How do you like that fmf header? Notice any gains or losses anywhere in the powerband?

Ah! I already mounted and rode once with the clips - did my first oil change last night and left scratches on my frame Sad

Any body know the paint code for husky? Maybe a paint pen to touch up the frame would be an option....

I was afraid of that too! I could get the left side clip to work but there wasn't enough clearance between the frame and the case for my fat fingers to get everything to line up.

I'm glad to see this thing will stay in without the clips though!

One cool thing I've seen someone do, Joe Carlino (has probably the sickest KTMs on here) had skid plate tabs welded on the frame when he stripped it down for powder coating.

I really like it! I installed the header at the same time as drilling the air box holes, so I do not have an exact comparison on the header alone. I do know that both helped the bike a ton! A lot more bottom end. I recommend using their "SX style" header versus the standard one. I have tried both, and the longer SX one feels better for power.

I use this stuff. Very common at auto parts stores and it is a very close match.

I had bought that Acerbis skid plate for my 17 TC250, and was not crazy about how it mounted at all. The plastic is great quality for sure, but the mounting hardware is what I didn't like.

Paid a little more and went for the P3 Carbon Skid plate and bought their cool mounting bracket they have. -
http://p3carbon.com/shop/hardware/p3-smartmount-iii-bracket-kit-4-strok…

THEN, I laid this down where the skidplate makes contact with the frame and it's been working very well.

Small update.... I swapped out the Dunlop MX3S for our new MX12 (sand/mud) tire. It rode great at our local sand/clay mix track (Sunset Ridge MX), and I am taking it up to the 50” trails in White Cloud, MI next weekend.
