Proud dad post, so just bare with me here. This kid started riding dirt bikes at 5, and I just knew there was something there. The problem was, he was terrified to race, wanted no parts of it. What a cool thread! I've been tinkering with a friend's TM250MX bike. We thought it was a 2001 model. He ordered a set of headset bearings but they do not fit at all lol. Seems to be the theme with certain TM bikes lol. The bearings say they fit 2001 models but they are way smaller than the bearings in the frame.

Small update, last summer I attempted to repack the exhaust silencer. It was beyond repair and didn't match the subframe. I sourced another used subframe on ebay and ordered a new Pro Circuit silencer. Projects like this are never finished. I Still have very little ride time on the bike, need to dial in jetting with properly packed exhaust now. Bike runs good, brakes suck compared to a modern bike. May try rebuilding master cylinders and calipers next. Next plan is to relace the bent rear rim. I've been collecting parts for my second TM build, which I'll be combining...

Update with numbers in true Euro style from the era. I'm missing the font brake hose number plate holder. Seems discontinued from TM. I have a universal Acerbis one, but would like something in a slimer profile. Any one have suggestions?

Jett came in as a “journeyman” and people said he needed time to be a great, and then he went 22-0 his rookie year. I’m not a Haiden fan when his helmet is off or his mouth is moving, but I think he will be fine. I’m not a Deegan fan. But I’ll give him credit any time a weakness has shown up in his riding and racing he has adapted and fixed it and continually became better and faster. I don’t see why this wouldn’t be the narrative moving forward.

anytime he is pressured, he starts playing games, gets frantic, and pulls a brain fart. The brake checking, weaving back/forth, looking back, riding ultra defensive... You think 450 guys are gonna play around w/ that? Until he races FORWARD, he's going to find himself picking up his bike. A LOT.
