Troop4Christ Added a reply to 2021 65SX cutting out/missing at mid-throttle
2/23/2026 8:48am I sprayed carb-cleaner all over the engine and crankcase while idling.. no panic revs at all. So I''m thinking it's not a leak..

Troop4Christ Added a reply to KTM 65SX cutting out 1/4 to full throttle, electrical questions.
2/23/2026 8:47am @DF313 Did you ever work this out? I'm having a similar issue w/ my boy's 2021 65SX... But his only seems to do it at about mid-throttle.. at WOT, it revs just fine. Gonna try replacing the PV blade completely as my next step.. Gonna also check for movement in the crankshaft as well..

2/22/2026 11:18am As far as I can tell.. I even did the "blow in the tube" test w/ my boy, and it seems to be working fine... not sure what's goin' on.... You can see the test being done here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/YD7VagKe6YMN39EKA

2/20/2026 3:46pm So I disconnected the pressure line from the exhaust and then tried riding it again.. It's most definitely something up with the power valve.. even though it opens and closes when I'm blowing in the tube.. So we're just going to leave it disconnected and zip tie the tube off so it doesn't splurge all over the engine... With the...

2/20/2026 6:39am I just fixed the power valve on my boy's 65. Bike ran sluggish, and when I opened up the PV housing, the lock nut was just laying there in the housing. And when I opened up the head, and went to pull out the power valve blade, sure enough, the shaft came out without the blade 🤦♂️ I got a...

Troop4Christ Started a new thread PW50 spark plug boot problems
11/18/2019 9:54am So I've got an old PW50 for my kids and we have this problem with the boot getting knocked off the plug by the front tire when the suspension compresses all the way. It looks like maybe the aftermarket boot on there might be too tall or something.. any one else experience this? Should I just get an OEM coil...

11/17/2019 12:09pm I've got the new plug in the mail! It's def more like a pliable rubber boot. I'll get it installed and let y'all know if that solves the problem. Thanks!

11/17/2019 12:08pm I’ve gone through 5 sets of forks during our pw time. Even the ones that didn’t get bent backwards, would still get sloppy over time. We would get back and fourth play.. just enough for it to contact the plug boot on big impacts.
Here’s the splitfire cap on the stock coil. Zip ties seemed to help keep it snug/water tight. The tape I have on there is for an hour meter so disregard it.
Just for giggles I’ll post these.

11/12/2019 9:26am Thought about that.. but seems odd to design a bike w/ geometry that would allow the tire to interfere w/ the plug like that, even w/ the shocks completely compressed? Is it really designed that way? 🤔

11/12/2019 9:22am The red one says "splitfire" on the wire.. guessing this is it, @slowtime? https://pwonly.com/product/high-performance-spark-plug-wire-cap/

11/12/2019 9:17am I had the same problem. Oem boots are made of hard plastic and would explode when the front wheel would just slightly contact it on a big hit. I went through 3 before I went on the pwonly site and bought their rubber splitfire boots. I haven’t had a problem since. The boot will come with the coil wire. Just unscrew the boot, and screw it onto your existing coil wire and secure it with a zip tie. Also, check to see if your forks are bent back at all.
