The funding the Belgian team got from the federation was close to one. Just enough to get the trucks full of gas to get all the equipment to France, but not enough to get them back home so to speak. And that's just to France, a neighboring country. All the funding came from private sponsors. Some of them have been for years, others were new, which had to be found by the people working for the Belgian team. They were able to set a new standard this year. However the whole Instagram/social media thing has a much higher engagement rate than traditional methods so to a sponsor it's a very attractive marketing tool. 10/5/2026 5:19am Great effort by all 3 riders and as much as I love tommy, it was nice to see some of the younger generations get a chance to ride at such an event. Only way to prepare for this level of riding is experience and so many of our riders don't do GP's anymore that it's hard to get that experience...

9/8/2026 5:42am Oh don't get me wrong, I agree that the d-head quota has definitely been hit in society and I'm the first to wax lyrical about the numptys when they take it too far at a motocross race and risk the whole event. I think the event ran well and I like the venue, was it perfect, no not at all...

9/3/2026 5:12am Foxhills felt alot 'looser' in terms of party atmosphere. However the Hawkstone track definitely raced better, especially with the weather. It did feel a little like the organizing club is a bit more 'fuddy duddy', with constant reminders to not act like idiots, go home before 8pm on Sunday etc. I'd like to see a dry event to see it...
