Help me understand where your line actually is here. We know governments misuse power over populations they control, not just historically, but recently. We’ve seen credible allegations of coerced hysterectomies in ICE detention, the long-documented sterilization campaigns in Puerto Rico, and the forced sterilization of Indigenous women through federally funded programs well into the mid 1970s or so. Those examples don’t excuse anything, they’re warnings. And if that history teaches anything, it’s that concentrated authority tends to abuse people with the least leverage. So many western 1st world countries have carried out sterilization and forced education programs against indigent peoples. Denmark finally issued a formal apology in August and are initiating a compensation program. I guess maybe you are trying to make some kind of point about the US having some kind of moral superiority against Greenland? Cuz if that’s your intent, perhaps look back to history.
