MP261 Started a new thread Brake Expertise Required
5/13/2016 12:10pm Disclaimer: I know this is a common topic but many of the threads are dead ends. Rebuilt my '03 CR250 over the winter which included new pads and rotors. While the front brake grabs, it is super spongy. Once it's 'biting' the rotor I can still pull the lever past that point and almost to the bar. I've gone through...

5/12/2016 10:51am Having searched the internet high and low for brake stuff I've noticed '00 to '03 part compatibility for front brake stuff, and then '04 to '07 for again brake components. Did the forks change after '03 (Ie. different caliper mounting)?

5/12/2016 10:45am I believe so, yes. Not quite sure I understand what you mean... Leave the caliper mounted? remove the pads? Then...

5/12/2016 5:52am Thanks again, lots of sound advice here. Going to try the syringe method mb mentioned and p/u a caliper rebuild kit. Yeah, the braided lines I got came with new banjos and washers. To all the guys saying there is still probably air trapped in the lines; even though when cracking the bleeder during a normal bleed procedure and there's...

5/11/2016 9:54am Thanks guys, did the K-dubbb method last night. Still no avail. I'm going to try putting the master cyl from another bike on that I know is good, and see how it feels with my caliper, and put my master on the other bike and see how that behaves. Hopefully this will be able to pin point then if the...

3/22/2016 1:00pm I'm in a similar situation as the OP as far as seat time is concerned. I'm lucky to ride once a week from April until about October. With moto as the inspiration I've tried some different training methods over the years. Targeting your weakness (without neglecting other aspects) will give you the most bang for your buck. For myself I've...
MP261 Added a reply to Acknowledging Sensitive Topics In The Sport
3/16/2016 1:11pm Definitely a very serious topic across a spectrum of sports, and even general health and wellness. Check out a documentary called Prescription Thugs. It's done by the Bell brothers, they have done a couple good documentaries.
MP261 Started a new thread Activity Trackers/Heart Rate Monitors
3/10/2016 9:55am I know it's been brought up before, but the technology and models available are constantly changing. With that said, I am torn between something like Fitbit Surge that can provide constant HRM on and off the bike, as well as independent GPS. All provided via wrist strap. Then there's the Polar M400 (chest strap required & currently no app for...

2/4/2016 6:42pm Devastating news. As someone else mentioned BMX was as close as I could get to moto as a kid and it consumed the majority of my adolescence until about 25 when I began riding more moto. I was lucky enough to as much as bump into him at a small contest back in '06, it was a big deal for...

11/17/2015 6:37pm Nice to see some Olympic lifting strength components. It does wonders for balancing an external mass and opening up mobility. ps - why DB over barbells for the snatch? Nice job including specific warm-ups and stretching for each day.

11/17/2015 6:28pm I also rescued an '03 CR250. I recently lost a hard drive with photos of it when I picked it up, but it pretty much looked identical to this, except with the stock red/blk seat cover, and stock pipe.

11/5/2015 5:11am 30 y/o never stopped, actually recently rode a couple contests too. Although now I find myself dabbling with other disciplines of two wheels more. Did some MTB XC racing this summer, moto, anything with two wheels!
Steve, any chance you would do an "ask me anything" thread? I'm sure lots of listeners have questions about the pods or things we've always wondered about the show while listening? I have always wondered (and this is a feather in your cap) how the shows manage to have more sponsors than most privateers!? Especially when it's competing brands like...

6/30/2015 7:36am Not a single mention of MOTO120's CR250? That build thread left my jaw on the floor. That gets my nomination. Or wait am I supposed to post a pic of my own build?
