3/31/2024 12:58pm There’s zero criticism in that quote. It’s not implying anything in comparison. Both stories involve the supernatural.

3/31/2024 12:46pm There is no truth. There is only what makes sense to us.

3/31/2024 12:36pm I must know too many wrong Christians. I swear they celebrate Santa, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, etc... more than God. Thanksgiving always cracks me up. Gosh did those Indians get the shaft or what...

3/31/2024 12:36pm I’m not celebrating it this year / don’t know what you’re talking about. Is Clams on a Half Shell a euphemism?

3/31/2024 12:30pm It’s part of the Left’s platform. I think he spoke about it to support a segment of his base, not to create controversy or deepen a divide. As mentioned somewhere in this thread, Joe Biden goes to church and the White House held an event for Easter.

3/31/2024 12:22pm Being a person who tries to lead a good life is a better way to describe it. Good correction 👍 I know the Bunny part is for kids and not the adults. I was just sharing that for me that’s where the questioning, and the disbelief began. I looked up pantheism after your other comment and, at a glance, maybe...

3/31/2024 12:14pm Hey, no worries. I assumed you had seen earlier mentions of it having existed before today. That was a core part of my explanation attempts. Personally, I’d never heard of it, and likely would not have heard of it if it hadn’t upset people this week.

3/31/2024 12:11pm Not enough of them! Thanks to Biden none of us knew to be outraged at farmers, Crayola, medievalists, taters, or anesthesia techs.

3/31/2024 12:03pm My personal belief is that we are all literally the same being. We are one distributed entity. If matter can’t be created or destroyed, and it was all made in the same celestial Big Bang or snap of God’s fingers, then everything that has ever been and ever will be just get recycled and re-made. Our bodies grow tissue from...

3/31/2024 11:41am Today is the 12th time since 1776 that Easter has fallen on March 31st. It’s the 15th time since 2009 that the Trans Day has fallen on March 31st. I didn't say either day is encroaching on the other. I used the word you used. The days aren’t forever linked. They just fell on the same day today. And why...

3/31/2024 11:25am I guess I’m an Atheist but I think religion is one of the most interesting topics in the world. You’ll find that a lot of us know a lot about the subject, because a lot of us were raised inside it and began to question it. My mom says from the time I was a toddler I was like “Really...

3/31/2024 11:02am I want to have this conversation with you, but I’m having trouble understanding your argument. If you say no other event can take place on this day, then Christianity and Easter are encroaching on everyone else. No one is stopping Christians from celebrating Easter today. I am hearing, and sorry if it wasn’t from you, that Trans Visibility Day shouldn’t...

3/31/2024 10:55am It should apply to all equally yes , but therein lies the problem . There are a lot of religions out there that each have a lot of special days to them . Many of these special days are based on the moon cycle like Easter is , so they don’t fall on the same day every year either . Trying to manage the feelings and not offend ANY religion would be an organizational clusterfuck . I’m 100% on the side of total separation of religion and state .

3/31/2024 9:52am I was raised Catholic and today don’t have a religion. Coming here and having this conversation shows me how truly important the day is to some people. However, for me, it’s meaningless. I wouldn’t even know today was Easter if it wasn’t for this Trans Visibility Day making headlines and firing people up. I’m sure there are a ton of...

3/31/2024 8:55am I’ve mentioned before that part of why I visit Non-Moto is to see what the other half of America is thinking about. In the bubble I live in, you'd be the anomaly. I don’t understand why the camp that is all about free speech and individual rights cares so much about how a small group of people want to live...

3/31/2024 8:34am FYI, Muslims do believe that Jesus Christ was raised to Heaven by God. Their story differs a bit in that his enemies didn’t kill him first. More like some sort of trick was played on them so that it appeared Jesus was crucified, but was not. Whether that was a body double or some or bamboozlement is open to interpretation.
