6/2/2026 8:48pm I suffered a grade 3 Feb 7th of this year. 52 years old, fit, good nutrition, etc. Ride mostly moto / Jday, some misc enduros, GNCC, NETRA. Elected for non-surgical route. For the first 2 - 3 weeks I thought I would never be able to ride again and maybe surgery would have been the way to go; zero sleep...

I ended up getting the issue resolved. I bought some 1000 grit sand paper, sprayed it with wd40, and attached the bolt on the other side and basically polished the axle. I then hand polished the fork lug clamp area on the inside to clean up any corrosion. Still a snug fit but it can at least float correctly inside the lugs and everything now.

5/22/2025 12:53pm They all seem to be this way for some strange reason - at least the 3 2025's I have had so far, plus a handful of friend's 2025 CRFs as well. I used a 1"(?) Flex Hone tool for a brake caliper on the non-rotor side fork lug and now it's perfect.

RC said after 02 he doubts it will ever be done again. Then he did it again, then a perfect overall season, then Stewart did it. Here we are again with another possibility. Pretty insane when you think about it. Never happened in the entire history of MX and now it could happen 4 (5 overall ones) times in the last 21 years.
