I feel very bad for the Zinggs, what a tragedy. This sport can be very cruel, but the only safe way to participate in this sport is not to participate at all. We all know that. My children ride, I know the risks, I also know the love that the have for it and the anticipation every single year for spring to come so they can get back to it. I’ve been racing mammoth for 13 years straight and that race is far and away the most well run and, importantly here, flagged race I’ve ever been to. I’m disgusted by the actions of the Zingg family, absolutely tragic loss for them but you simply cannot hold, 2x, mammoth and fox responsible for any part of this. I just rewatched and uploaded the first couple laps of this years race, on my second lap from start to finish I counted 40 flaggers or medics on the track, they are literally every 10-20 yards. i TAlked to him a week ago and he said hes never fully recovered .hes been hurt for 5 years and would always come back when not completely healed ,he said hes still not 100 percent and that hes been under the knife about 20 times over the years . He just wants to relax for the first time in years and completely heal up. .

I think after him and his wife split up he pretty much went offline. Last I remember he had to leave the homestead in afton and was living somewhere up in the mountains between greenville, tn and asheville. I am not sure anybody that has been here less than 10 years could survive a hillbilly rant. Man, if somebody got him and pro125 on a podcast a lot of heads might explode.
