Yeah points leader after 8 rounds isn’t slow and steady. Webb and Roczen are 20 points adrift; unless they pull something together in the next couple of rounds they are out of it. Hunter has been in the top 2 fastest guys for 6 out 8 rounds. I’d say he’s putting massive pressure on everyone else, Eli included, not to have a bad round.

Thing is though, I think the 2nd places instead of wins are because of his confidence. I think Hunter is one of the strongest guys out there mentally, and he already believes he can win and considers himself one of the top guys, so he doesn't need to ride over the limit and risk it for the win because he knows it will naturally fall into place soon without him having to risk too much. For now he's focused on the championship
