Ha, no you're spot on. Suspension was soft for this session. The footage is a bit old... this was an early prototype frame that actually wasn't designed to take big hits, and we were really just out there to verify the chassis geometry before we moved to the next round of pre-production bikes. The bike flew straight and handled exactly...

Pffft, I'm the head honcho. The only one to slap my peepee is me. Here you go. Turns out record companies really care about "music" and "ownership" and "theft."

Adens, yeah, it'll definitely be tougher than going from 2T to 4T. The approach we've taken is to engineer it around a competitive and fair power output to compete in Lites. If the rules can be about power, or power and weight, rather than how you achieve them, I think we could have some really exciting racing with both gas and electrics in the field.

Davis, it'll do a thirty minute moto under a pro podium contender, so yes. Most amateurs would get around an hour at full race pace. To do a full day of practice, qual, and finals, you would definitely need to be topping it off in the pits though. A full charge takes 4 hours from a 110V/15A outlet, 2 hours from a 220V. It comes with the 110 charger (off-board). Also, the bikes are not silent. They sound like little turbine engines. It's not nearly as loud, but it definitely turns heads. Especially when we would spin it up in...

Ah shit. It was up for a minute and then Youtube had some kind of hiccup and dropped it. I'm re-uploading now and will edit the post above when it's done. Sorry about that.

Don't hate on the wheelie boyz. Getting gnar at 12 o'clock is off the sicktor scale, bro. Ha, no offense taken. We were just eager to take the thing out in SF while it was plated and on slicks. We've got some moto video coming out soon, and you can expect a whole lot more this Spring and Summer when...

Engine braking and throttle maps are both easily tunable, wirelessly. We do it from a laptop, but should have an android-based app by the time it hits market. Takes about a minute and we'll go through 3-5 of them with each test rider until we get the exact feel they want. Right now, we run it with pretty light and...

Motodave, we did our initial testing in supermoto trim because at the time we were focused on validating power output (and yes, it's an honest 40 rwhp). It's much easier to put the power down on pavement. The bikes have also seen dirt testing and we shared some video of that at the expo. I can promise you these bikes will see plenty of motocross abuse before we let them into the hands of paying customers next year.

Rooster, that's 4 sessions without top off. If you have access to an outlet at the track and plug between sessions, you should be for the day you describe, though it depends on how fast you are (i.e. how much power you put down). We've designed it to have consistent power delivery across the state of charge, so you shouldn't...

Seriously... it was crazy to share the bike with guys like Gary, Chuck Sun, Tom White, Mark Blackwell, Scot Harden, and I'm sure a few I forgot. Really humbling to hear them excited about the bike and eager to offer advice and help.

Right now there's a 10% fed incentive and then it varies by state. For this reason, we'll ship even our race bikes as street legal with lights. It's worth it to strip the lights and throw on race plastics to get minimum $1500 off. Plus you end up with a race bike that you can legally flog on the streets.

A smaller motor wouldn't be any more efficient, and in fact a clutch and gearbox would create more parasitic losses, so you would lose range. However, a gear box DOES allow you to increase rear wheel torque at low speeds and extend top speed at the other end. With the motor we developed from scratch, we have as much torque...

Looking to buy a new or lightly used 2010 or 2011 CRF250R. Would consider a bike with engine problems if chassis and cosmetics are clean. Preferably within driving distance of Norcal. Please email me at Marc AT faster-faster DOT com

I need to track down stock late model Yamaha YZ250F suspension in good cosmetic and functional condition. Ideally, I prefer the 08 shock with Ti spring and the 09 fork with adjustable handlebar clamps on the top triple, but the other years will work. Will pay a fair price, depending on year, condition, and included assembly (linkage, triples, axle, etc.)...

Bump for some video of the first journalist test rides. I know we've been supermoto heavy so far, but well get some dirt video out in the new year. The journos were about 3-4 seconds faster per lap (1:12 to 1:08) on the RedShift with street tires than my KTM 250 XCF-W with slicks, even though we had top speed...
