The 13s are solid bikes. The shifting issues were primarily on the years before that. Suzuki beefed up the tranny in 13 and also changed the shift forks to help prior issues on missed shifts. My 2012 would occasionally hit false neutrals if you rushed a shift, so I made it a practice to never shift on a jump face...

When riding Moto, it's an accepted thing that you're going to tweak or break an arm, leg, knee, shoulder, etc and that's totally acceptable to most all of us or we wouldn't do it.
