Yeah it looks like a fiberglass type material on the inside, the first one I ordered cracked down the back side where the seat sits as soon as I tightened a bolt(not even close to overtightening). He did let me swap it and shipped it back to him, but took over a month to get to Texas. I was going...
I don't think your gonna get away from the knee brace and graphics rubbing off, I've rode this YZ in the pit's and it feels super narrow, probably cause i ride a kx 450. I also grip alot with my knees and legs so graphics dont last long. Your YZ is awesome, Ive tried building a few 250's(kx and cr)for...
For motocross I think it will hold up though the cap is a little hard to take off with bare hands. But I think the look of the bike is worth the money(to me).
Sorry just now saw the past posts, I still haven't put graphics on it yet I built it for my 13 yr old son who lives with his mom and he doesn't really care to ride like I do so it's probably been rode 3 times. Gas tank holds up not sure how it would do with a bad impact...
Carbon tank finally arrived, it seems quite a bit thicker than the cheaper model. I dropped the bike off to have some carb work done to it so I won't be able to mount it til this weekend. I will post another pic once I have it mounted.
Ok, I went on vacation sorry no response sooner. I did get in touch with him and he says its a defective tank it is really light weight, I have shipped it back and am waiting on a carbon one now. I will have to look for the pictures later when I'm back at home.
Does this tank hold up? Any problems? I ordered the regular plastic tank from him and of course I went to install its cracked at the bottom edge all the way across. Feels really thin. I'm gonna send him pic and see what he will do about it but thought I might upgrade to the carbon if possible.
