Smart for him to punt and find out what he needs to do to be healthy. He is a hell of a racer and competitor and I know he will be back, whether it is this season or next.

I would love to see more mountains do what Mammoth has done. Deer Valley, UT, Mount Snow, VT could all have great moto facilities. I know that insurance is a major issue with US mountain resorts. I'm in the bicycle business and its costly to cover mountain bikes alone.

Good call, that was 1980. It was always great to head up to Unadilla in the Fall. One of my other favorites has been Namur, but I have only seen the pictures like this one. (not a good image size) Looks amazing though. [/img]

But shouldn't 15 tough GP rounds (on way tougher tracks with more variety of terrain), plus two days of racing, prepare individual riders better than the Nationals do for the MXdN?

Interesting article. I hope Ben returns soon. Seems like he is saying that racing on the US tracks is easier (schedule) and there is less variety in the tracks. So does that make it harder for a rider going from the US Nationals to the GPs? [i]BT-101 - I always looked at why American riders find it so hard coming...

Can you read? That is the team manager speaking about the "team" and how "we will continue the rest of the racing season". He isn't speaking for BT. I hope Ben makes it back soon.

Where am I off...he is leaving racing the GPs. Where in the press release does he say that he is re-accessing racing after Spain? I wish BT the best!

If I were a team manager, my riders would have a deer gutting knife on their belt to clear that fencing from the wheel (alright just a little excited)

Actually, you nailed it on the Spit. It was one used to chase V1 rockets and knock them out of the sky with the Spitfire's wingtips. There is another P51 in crates that is going to be assembled. (you can see the crates of parts in the first picture.) The extra engines are for the project.
