Kawi finally put their money where their mouth is with this 2 stroke and gave the large majority of the people exactly what they wanted. I’m not one to buy a new bike, especially a Kawi, but this is how you make that happen. I’ll sign the papers when the 2nd model year rolls around. Well done team green.

I had a 1992 KX 250, rode a 1992 YZ 250 and felt it was a much better bike in every way.

You’ll need that money back just to make the vintage engine competitive against it. Stock 85sx is faster than a stock kx112.

Yep. Cramped rider triangle. My 2000 rm is probably worse.

11/9/2025 11:24am I had one I got as new leftover in 08.. bike was a rocket and I feel it would probably give any modern 250 a run for its money, power wise. Chassis did feel odd and the rear shock I remember felt over dampened off the floor

11/8/2025 9:00pm I’m gonna revive this.. I had a 97 KX125 back in the day. It was a big, wide, truck of a bike. I liked it in the woods or anything high speed, as it did feel stable, but not anywhere near a track. I was in my teens as well so being lighter didn’t exactly help my case with it...

I had one on a yz250. Couldn't tell the difference between the maps or from stock. Long time ago, was a beginner back then!

11/7/2025 5:54pm Was boredom searching the bay and stumbled across this, for literally my year bike. 2000 rm125. So I snagged it.. anyone know anything about these CDI’s? Has 2 maps supposedly, just need to wire in a rocker switch.

11/7/2025 1:07am Absolute work of art there.. I need those wheels. The cool thing about these 99-00 is that nobody really has them. Getting compliments every time I hit the track is pretty sweet. 2 questions.. any info on your aftermarket ignition? I do have the orange monster coil.. no difference. I also have this thing for it called a “roost boost”...
