They are already...there is 2025 GG 450s on cycle trader for $6400. Its the same price as the RMZ. Every other japanese bike is more (except maybe kawi when you factor in the rebate deals but that also has a timing aspect to it). Its just a weird spot pricewise the gas gas brand is at. They are cheaper than the other two austrian bikes but the quality is also significantly less than those two brands. The only GG I see "worth" buying new is a factory edition. If you are going to buy an austrian, spend the extra $...

I don't think either of Ducati's SX riders are capable of winning a race this year against the likes of Hunter, Eli, Coop, and Sexton. If they did it would be an anomaly. In that regard, I consider the Ducati strategy flawed. That said, partnering with TLD gets a big thumbs up. The bikes look pretty sick too. So they might not need race wins to successfully market and develop their products. So maybe lining up in the premier class straight away is a good thing. 🤷‍♂️

I would think that it would have to come from Anderson, Stewart or Cooper. I’ll take Stewart.

I think Gajser has an easier switch from one alu fram to an other. Herlings has never ridden a alu frame but i would think he will fit the honda good.

If Ducati is serious like they are in Motogp They need to sign a rider with an actual upside. Barcia would be a horrible choice for them.

Thats pretty crazy that it has that much more hp and tq than the yz450f and is lighter. Its gonna be a beast. That being said the 450s are plenty fast enough, I believe the real game changer is going to be the 250f. 8 more hp and 6 more ft lbs on a stock 250f would be insane. Cant wait to see the numbers on that bike when it comes out. I think the triumph is a great bike and they really did a great job coming right out with a competitive bike right out the gate. That being...

Love your analogy. Absolutely correct. They claim this is the first TC based on rear wheel data. Unlike a car where each wheel has to be individually monitored, they could get rear-wheel speed simply off of crank speed and transmission position. Ducati has always had impressive electronics and I'm very curious to see how they tackle this. I've always thought it wasn't an issue of getting rear wheel speed data but rather understanding what the rest of the bike is doing so it doesn't cut power every time the rear wheel starts spinning up because it could be from loosing...

So funny I’ve ridden mx34 and Pirelli mx32 back to back same bike and I think the Pirelli is massively better tire. The mx34 breaks loose on corner exit at 5% throttle without warning to me, where the Pirelli can take so much more throttle without breaking loose.

I have to admit it’s impressive. It will be interesting to see how the on track performance plays out. I can see quite a few holeshots being pulled.

Wanted to create a new thread to discuss the specs of the bike. 63.5 hp at 231 pounds (without fuel) sounds insane to me. With all that power, I'm surprised they went with a 110 rear tire but Ducati knows more than I do. But seriously, what's not to love? Brembo brakes and clutch, Showa suspension, magnesium covers, tuning via WiFi module and app, and the price point is much less than originally expected. Can't wait to see it in person and hear some reviews.

I have used a lot of different engine builders and I would highly recommend RaceTech. Andrew is ridiculously knowledgeable and we have had really positive results with our engine program since we began working with them. Their approach is to build usable power that will last, not just some inflated horsepower number that is counterproductive to the end goal of making you faster. I know there are some great options out there but RaceTech is a very solid choice if you want to make positive changes that are reliable in my opinion.
