7/15/2024 5:27pm Yes... I failed to completely clean and wash the cylinder, piston and rings after I honed the cylinder. I initially only sprayed and wiped down the cylinder with WD40. 10/3/2023 11:01am That sounds like the best advice I've heard so far. Now I just have to work on it and break the bad habits which is difficult to do. I've heard about that "knee" technique before. It's difficult for me practice while in the rutt, too much going on. I'm thinking I can work on that "knee technique" off the track...

10/2/2023 6:05pm Well said. Good advice. Agreed That's what I've been doing every time I ride now. Most guys take the outside line because it's rutt free and easy. I only take the inside rutted lines because I SUCK and need to get better. That said, it's tiring 😫

Nobody here can tell you how to hit a rutted corner. Watch some YouTube videos on it and go practice. The only way you will get better is by riding ruts. From now on every single time you hit a corner pick the deepest rut there. Every time. Force yourself to hit them and not be intimidated by them and before you know it you'll have them down. Not many can hit ruts perfect 10/10 times so don't beat yourself up if you climb out of a rut here and there. We all make mistakes. But like I said. Get...

10/2/2023 6:01pm Yeah good point... All the pros enter the rutted corners standing, then sit once they're in the rutt. I often get lazy or tired standing and so I enter some rutted corners sitting. That said, even when I enter standing it's still typically a bad result. My body is often leaning to the inside corner instead of being on outside...

The track I was at yesterday was ripped sooo deep. Some of the ruts from the guys that were flying couldn’t even be ridden at slower speeds. “I suck “ Were my exact words to my buddies that weren’t there! But I wasn’t the only one, several people left in the ambulance

I also suck at ruts…should start a support system for folks like us. I know I could run around a rutted corner faster than I can get thru with my bike..

I have been using his app / training club for a few months now. He posts cool content and tips on there, but the best feature is that you can upload videos of yourself riding, and he will critique it and give you advice. 7/26/2023 6:04am I'm in Chicago suburbs. It sucks.. Usually ride at Joliet MX. Rode for years on hard packed surfaces and developed bad habits that I'm stuck with. Soft Dirt is difficult for me Never rode in your Medaryville area. Looks like your only couple hours away. Maybe you can teach me?
