If you unplug the coupler and have nothing connected in the bike it reverts back to the stock oem base map, as if you had a “stock” green coupler.

I loved it and would highly recommend it. Makes the throttle more responsive and helps with low RPM pulling power. I just found the least value in the black coupler so I chose to sacrifice that one over the green or white. I mainly left the green so I could do an A-to-B compare of the Chavez map.

came from a 18 rmz450 that had every band aid thrown at it wanted a 250 and although the kx was the last choice ( partially because I didn’t know much about the 21 ) I picked one up after two hours of ride time I’m stoked with it. The motor is good on these things and 180 pounds the suspension feels awesome !!!! Of course I have already been tinkering

Just picked mine up, had a bit of a go around it seeing what parts fit from my 2020. I love the feel of this bikes ergos, riding it tomorrow just hope it isn’t too wet!

Totally agree. Both Keefer and MXA said the best map was a mix of the white and black couplers. Gave it some more low end grunt and didn’t lose any of the awesome mid to top. It was something like the fuel settings of the white and ignition of the black.

If you don't plug green coupler in and have no coupler at all it will default to whatever the green was previously mapped at. If it was all zeros then thats what it will be. If you changed green to something custom that's what it will be, even if not there.... Now that I say that, I have no way to prove it. If you don't have a coupler installed at all, the cal unit will not connect to ecu and give you a fault. So you can't see exactly what's current in ecu without a coupler. and if you...
