Jeez, similar issue with mine. Our impeller was totally separated from the bolt and there was evidence of overheating. Thank you for the help, I’ll give it a try! If you have any spare 87 suzuki parts, I’d be interested in purchasing them. My 87 Suzuki is here to say and if I can’t fix the end of the crank...

Yeah that seems the best way to go... any other or easier ways? Obviously splitting the cases again is a last resort after the motor was assembled. Also, it really is a great bike in my opinion as far as engine operation goes. They run real nice and produce some decent power

We just got news from our machine shop that the left exhaust valve was broken into two pieces Sad . Where can I get the best price on the valve?

We bought a new Pro X rod kit, but the crank does have some pitting and 2-strokes need a weird jig, so we couldn’t take it to a nearby shop with a simple press. Thanks for the response!

Pro x makes a rebuild kit... I believe 86-87 interchange.. 88 uses a different water pump setup so I think 88 left crank half end is different. I had Ken O’Conner in Ct rebuild my 87 crank with Pro X parts, we had to use oem thrust washers to get the proper crank width. I have a build on here for my 87 that goes into more detail.

I have a 1987 Suzuki RM 125 and I was wondering what other years are compatible for the crankshaft?

I have a 1987 Suzuki RM 125 and I was wondering what other years are compatible for the crankshaft? The rod has TONS of side to side play and I blamed it on a bad rod bearing but the crank has a lot of rust and pitting from sitting in water, so I may get a new crankshaft. I added...
