I knew soft ball was a big sport, but I had no idea there was money in it.

In 2000, we finished ranked 7th in the country in "open". The top 5 teams, had budgets of between $500,000 and $750,000....

I was standing in left field in Houston, TX, when Joe Carter's brother hit a ball over my head, that was measured at 535 feet!!!
We won that game 72 - 68.... and it was 2 hours and 45 minutes long!

535 feet. I would say he hit that one on the button. I saw Chipper Jones go 500 feet in spring training and thought that was a blast. Back in the early 90`s I hit a couple 400+ shots w/ blue dots and thought that was doing something.

HGH.....think "Ahhnold" to know what too much of this will do. In lower doses, you're fine. But you're also not getting any big performance enhancements from it either. Longevity? Maybe...studies are equivocal.

Testosterone.....this is the drug that absolutely feeds prostate cancer. You're an idiot to supplement testosterone, unless you have none/next to none in your body.

Not that I know anything. But I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express one time.....
Arnold didn´t do much HGH, as it wasn´t available at the time. It´s actually amazing how big the guy got from bad drugs like primo and d-bol.
And wouldn´t masterone and other DHT derivatives be worse on your prostate than test?

Yep. Larry Carter was his name. Guy could CRUSH a ball. They said that he was a better athlete than brother Joe.....

We were also using 44 core balls too... so they definitely weren't 'hot'....

Oh, I don`t doubt what you`re saying Huck. I have a couple buddies that were elite ballplayers and were flown to tournaments nationwide and were paid as much as their regular jobs to play. The bats being used in 2000 were made a little better than when I played. The players were the main difference though.

We were sponsored by Worth, so all our bats came from them...and were stamped "team bat"... Guys used to line up to buy them, thinking that they were 'special'... LOL

We went thru 23 bats in one tournament once... they would dent so bad.....

I think the bat I used had Steele written on the barrel. One of the first $100+ dollar bats on the market. It pretty much ended up being the team bat until I told the guys they had to buy their own. Sweetest bat I ever used.

I'm probably gonna stay away from HGH, since it's like $1200-1900 for 10 weeks. Too much dinero. Testosterone therapy maybe $200 (after blood work $450) for 10 weeks. The Dr. I talked to said that since I'm 43, that small doses would bring testosterone levels up to somehwere near a 25 year old level. I exercise when I can (weights and P90X), but more endurance and strength increases are my main goals. We'll see.

What was the name of the team?

I built the ASA softball Hall of Fame Stadium. They had some of the mens teams doing promotional games the first year they were open for business.

I was never a big home-run hitter, I did hit my fair share, but I was in the top 50 on base percentage for the first half of the season...

Playing on those baseball fields is where I excelled, I was (seems like a lifetime ago) very fast and a good outfielder... We'd play with 5 infielders and only 3 outfielders...so there was a lot of ground to cover!!

Well, the claims are that HGH and testosterone therapy will assist you're putuitary gland in returning levels of testosterone back to optimum levels of, say a 25 year old, enabling longer exercise edurance, build muscle mass, and better overall physiology. So my goal would be to try this and see if there is an increase of of these factors. I was curious if anyone had used this or not, and what the differences/ benefits were.
Use HGH...but don't get it from over-sea, that's a big waste of money. if you want to get muscle and strength quick then use Test, but use it with something else like Dbol if it will be your first cycle.

test and dianabol wouldn´t be a hormone replacement therapy, but a bulk cycle

One of my buddy's is 57, will be 58 this summer. He looks 45 max, or younger. He surfs, road bikes, has abs I only wish I could have, I need to lose my tire. Any how he says your testosterone level should be at 800, and that most men over 35 are at 200, says it would give you amazing energy and strength and vitality. You should go to your doctor and get your blood work done/checked. My sister in law did the whole age revitalization program last year said she felt amazing (yes it's good for women too) but it's pricey, you are looking at, depending on your city/area $80-$200 a month.

I only read a few and kinda jumped to the bottom here to reply...

I took HGH in th form of a spray...they said it would help me grow(I was looking to get taller), more energy, etc. To be honets it worked...I got like 1.25 inches taller taking the stuff, with a combination of stretching exercises. I had a more energy, the only downfall was it was like $110 a bottle, after 3 bottles I was done...

If you are just looking for more energy there is a supplement out now called Force factor. It works, I just started taking it two weeks ago, my workouts where crazy! Energy level up pretty well. There is a "free" sample to try it out if you would like, go to their site. You just pay shipping of $5. The catch is you have 18 days to cancel or else they will renew your subscription. You have to call to cancel your order, took me like a minute to cancel mine. Though they will offer you a bottle for like $38 if you decide not to cancel, probably worth since most everywhere else its $50-60 but I canceled anyway.

* Note: I am in my early 20s and so I dont know how much more energy either I listed would give you, but I believe both would work for you. I have not noticed any side affects from the HGH and I took that like 4-5 years ago, as for the Force factor the only thing ive read is that it lowers your sex drive, but I havent really noticed that.

Force Factor is a pre workout supplement, so lots of stimulants and L-arginine to boost NO. It doesn´t do more than 2 cups of coffee would Smile

So coffee could help me increase the weight I lift by like 20%?? I didnt think so...this stuff gives you more energy, if thats what he is looking for buy it! They recommend taking 4 pills a day. I take 3 but I notice the increased energy and its all day. Coffee isnt going to give you increased energy all day.

LOL. I can´t believe I´m reading this - you are recommending expensive amino acids in an overpriced tub to a guy who´s thinking about adding test to his system?

I´m going to post the ingredients, not that it would matter because you obviously wouldn´t have stated this if you knew what they were. Also, seems like I was wrong; there may be very little, if any caffein in there. It just makes it worse of a product. That industry would scam fewer people if people actually bothered to know wtf they put in their bodies:

I'm probably gonna stay away from HGH, since it's like $1200-1900 for 10 weeks. Too much dinero. Testosterone therapy maybe $200 (after blood work $450) for 10 weeks. How did your testosterone therapy go? I have had less energy for at least a year, got a physical including blood work plus had my first prostate exam in 7 years and it's all good. My numbers were all within range but at 57 I refuse to accept I'm going to have less mojo as I get older.

I got my first testosterone shot yesterday, go back in two weeks then go back two weeks later for the third shot.. I won this therapy for two months after calling into a motorcycle radio show. The doctor said the third shot is the "ah hah!" shot but I noticed a difference this morning already hiking up the trail I have to traverse when I leave my place to get to my car.

My doctor's position is the "normal" levels for testosterone are too low and he believes most men in the 40s and 50s could benefit by this therapy. Doc did mention the whole "testicles getting smaller" possible side affect and I have asked my girlfriend to monitor this aspect very closely. Smile

I'm looking forward to the next month to see how things go.

I tried Viagra once, it was fun.
I thought you said it was only fun up to the point that you sprained your wrist.

Testosterone from my understanding is equivalent to throwing gasoline on a fire if you have or have a family history of prostate cancer. Our body ages naturally and we lose testosterone etc for a reason. Best not to fight genetics/evolution.

No history of prostate cancer in my family on either side plus I haven't eaten meat of any kind since 8/21/76 (still eating fish but not sure for how much longer) so my risk factors are pretty low.

I do appreciate the post Choppy. Thank you.

I was just saying that as a heads up to everyone, and Im not saying they should or shouldn't as I can see the benefits of both sides. I would say it's best to get a prostate exam once or twice a year if you do decide to go that route.

Hold on here.

You won 3 testosterone shots on a motorcycle radio show? That's bizzare. What type of "mojo" are you worried about losing? Boners? Overall energy and vigor? Please explain.

Im not trying to bust on you, just trying to understand what you are thinking.

Yes it is true. The radio host said they got a box from China that they were pretty sure was testosterone so they thought they would give some away and then find out how people felt. :-)

The guys that do the radio show in addition to being avid street bikers have a marketing company plus I think the one guy owns the H-D/KTM dealership. They have guests from local businesses and Dr. Harper was on the second time I called in. He believes in word of mouth so some free two month programs were awarded. I didn't even know he was on the show when I called in as i tuned in late and was only asking if the dealership offered any sound testing. They don't but they said "hey for calling in today call Dr. Harper for a two month program." I had paid extra a year or so ago to have my testosterone level checked but the results were within range but my gut kept telling me I needed remapping.

Good question about the mojo. In my case what I am seeking is overall energy and vigor but fortunately zero problems in the wood department. Since the first shot I have definitely felt that but did not have any problems sleeping the last two nights which is a side effect in some people.

An additional benefit I am noticing is increased mental clarity and focus. This might prove to be the worst thing I ever did in my life but I will see how the next two to three months go. I was definitely ready for a change to the way I had been feeling and to date this has been accomplished. If I had to describe it I feel the way it is like when I have gotten a B12 shot after having been traveling all of the country and just run down then got the B12. I have told people over the years B 12 put a spring in my step and this would be my best description of my present experience. Not wired just activated.

I was just saying that as a heads up to everyone, and Im not saying they should or shouldn't as I can see the benefits of both sides. I would say it's best to get a prostate exam once or twice a year if you do decide to go that route.
Excellent call and thanks for the suggestion.
