there are a lot of young girls racing in the youth classes around the world, its hard for them to progress and make a sporting career in mx, a lot more support goes for the boys and it takes the girls the same effort to train and prepare as it does the boys, so to take the spotlight out of wmx is to put all does young girls in even bigger dificulties to get support.......
whats the point on keeping the veterans series in the gp schedual and dropping the woman...????? it gives some fun to a few old big names of the sport, they cruise around the track, have their picture taken and then go and have a beer with the mates.........and for that there are a lot of young and hard working atheletes, that really love the sport and help it grow......that are just put aside to where no one looks.......dont think its fair at all......!!!!!!!!!

'IF' only 9 girls have signed up permanently for this series (or even if there has been a significant drop in participants) that might explain Youthstreams decision to drop WMX from supporting most of the GPs?
The point for keeping vets is bc of money. Its all Giuseppe luongo cares about. That and saving his a$$ from politics. The only reason he keep the women is for Political reason. He said women get more exposure in mx3 but thats bullsh*t....who watches mx3?! No one.
But everyone defending Giuseppe only defend him bc just like MXmatt say:
"But stay loving them Jefro and Jamma otherwise you maybe lose your free tickets en presscards"
And to be kiss a$$ to GL bc they don't want to be on bad side or just to be good politicians.
It's not working bc FIM notice this bad stuff YS do.

Giuseppe drop the girls bc he say he did not make money from them (bc he did not promote them correctly), then the big sponsors of us, like Red Bull KTM, Kawasaki, etc say they can't afford to go to all mx3 races, it would be better if we were in mx1/2 races, so we as women riders will not and can not pay from our pocket to race rest of the series.
Since the final decision was to move the WMX with mx3, all the women lost their support they used to have, factory support, which is why the drop of participants. No money to go to the races for championship that does not give exposure to sponsors.

GuyB gave me the chance of doing that for Vital and if taking GP pictures means that I have to wear a bib with YS logo then so be it. I don't care.
I think that is a contribution to the sport we all love and sure is better then sit behind your computer and bitch about every little thing Luongo did not handle according to your satisfactory.
Listen, I understand your frustrations WMXLover and despite what Sunhouse and others may say, I would prefer it if the WMX championship remained on the GP schedule! I agree that MX3 is pointless, nobody is interested in it, it holds no value and seems to be a waste of time/money which could be much better spent by investing in the Womens series and other aspects of the sport.
I treat individual points of discussions on their own merits, but I also take quite a pragmatic view of things where YS are involved.
Luongo is trying to put on a good show, and more people follow the EMX than the WMX. NAturally he tries to give the more popular series the exposure they can, and the fans what they want.
Causing all this over a non-issue is IMO ridiculous.

Regarding EMX 125 the ride twostrokes and for me they are the main attraction...
Bring back twostrokes, the girls and while we're at it I want 377 and Pichon back on their respective bikes (KX125 and RM250)
The girls and television make mx a bigger sport. That's good. Internet only and veterans race doesn't.
I think most of the guys hating on fast girls are intimidated by the fact they would beat them on the track...am I right? =)

now besides the youth classes we have a vet class for a few old friends....last year only less then 10 vets raced all races, most of them are really not that known or remembered and can't even race, they just ride around, its so much of a showing that everybody would prefer if they came on their old bike.......i guess gp's are supposed to be the world best mx, wmx were girls best mx, vets are just an exabition..........
i think dropping wmx makes the mx business lose alot, and dont see how vets can give earnings to the organizers.......i think its all politics and plain old ass licking...!!!!!!!
also since it is YS that choses who can race and have a permanent place on the grid, maybe the best girls would put some of their clients in a strange position...... being the same track laptimes are comperable...!!!!!!!
