Its just terrible race coverage on CBS, like really is it neccessary to watch JS order from Taco Bell? Could have at least watched LCQ highlights instead of that or something.

It's like Bubba's World with a little race coverage thrown in. I PVR'd the whole thing and FF through the garbage, done in 27 mins. Laughing

How about plug the dealership he's going to instead of a fast food place, that your not even sponsored by ? I'm sure that shop could of used some love, instead we know of that shop as the one on the cbs whisky throttle no clutch race. Dry

I couldn't agree more with all of these comments. Worst coverage we've seen all year. 30 minutes of no racing before the gate dropped...LAME.

Stick with Speed or at least send the same Speed coverage quality to CBS!

So... who and how do we contact? Feld? CBS? It seems like Speed starting addressing issue (i.e. Picture in Picture) once everyone starting letting it be known how bad the coverage was. In fact, I don't think I've even heard the word "jugular" since the Atlanta broadcast. LOL

We tune in for racing, not "Bubba's World". It appears as though cBS tailors their broadcast for folks who happen to be home channel surfing on a Sunday afternoon and not real race fans that tune in to see the racing.

Why is it that they always either miss the big events (passes/ crashes) or they almost miss them? If it was a live broadcast, I can certainly see why that would happen. But in an edited next day broadcast, why do they not show the big events as they happen? They show you what happened via a replay, so obviously they got it on camera, so why not edit the broadcast to show it so we can see it "live"?

For example, right before Stewie did a nac-nac into Reed, they showed a camera angle through the whoops, then cut to another shot as he was hitting him. Then they did replay's from at least 3 different cameras that filmed the entire sequence, yet they don't just show us the best camera video to begin with? WTF? IT IS NOT LIVE, they edit it and choose to show the wrong camera???

They do this for almost every pass and almost every crash, they "cut back" and do a replay of what just happened. Like it is a live event. Except it is not. So why pretend it is, they know what is going to happen so just edit it so we see the best action. Not the guy in 10th riding by himself, and then suddenly cut to the last 1.5 seconds of a pass for the lead. Show the 5 seconds before the pass as the rider is getting set up for the pass, not just the pass after it happened. Even Speed does this shit. Drives me crazy.

It was like a 2-part 10 minute James Stewart P.R. piece! No mention of the arrest, and this fucking crap instead of showing the heat races and at least LCQ highlights! WTF!!! Try that during a precious NASCAR race, and watch the heads roll!

Hey network bigwig's, take your heads out of your asses and figure out what the fans want, because I made a list of all of the sponsors aired during this broadcast, and I'm purposely boycotting them for life!!!

i loved the fact that in order to know if the lead changed....you had to listen to the crowd cheering. happened on speed and on cbs. This ain't live T.V. yet they can't edit it????

My favorite part of the 'race telecast' on CBS was when Bubba went to Taco Bell.

That was awesome!

no mention of the arrest because its a pretty serious thing to be arrested for, especially in todays world...in an effort to put out the fire they smothered us with a story on james stewart being "the average joe do good'er" whos call that was doesnt really make a difference but im sure itll help out his litigation.

Did anyone watch the Speed TV 450 re-air? Was it the same exact show that was on CBS?

For those w/ twitter, I think are most fans here- I KINDLY told Nicole Feld what I thought, she is the VP of Development there and this is her personal twitter http://twitter.com/#!/NicoleFeld. I linked her to this thread, even though there are hundreds more like it.

As a business owner myself, I understand how when you have a business plan that you use to promote/create events and it works you run with it. Much of what we see in the broadcasts comes from felds knowledge of promoting entertainment sports, not motorsports. This is where Feld is falling short, while they are clearly filling the seats (which is their goal), fans of sports suffer because it is not treated as a sport by Felds media outlets, it is treated as entertainment.

This motorsport we love truly does have the potential of NFL, NBA, etc.

You guys shouldn't be bitching to CBS. You need to bitch to the corporate sponsors that complain and threaten to pull out of the advertising because their product isn't shown in the right light.

CBS is simply doing what they are told through the people that pay their bills.

I don't even have CBS (Can't Broadcast Sports) since DISH wanted me to pay extra to get it.
I'm not paying to watch a bunch of commercials interrupted by a little bit of content every now and then.

Add this one to the long list of propaganda BS. According to Ralph the Mouth, Reed is riding a "100% Production Bike...!!!!!!.". He said this twice....actually, he screamed it twice.....

Oh...and that impersonating an officer thing never happened I guess. A one hour commercial/press event for bumbles Stewart. Another punk who needs to grow up.
