Will James Stewart stay with Yamaha or do you think he will change brands to try & get back to his previous dominating form?

How about asking what Brands would want JS7 in 2012? For now he seems to be Train Wreck Stewart - that is for now.

so far changing from Fox and Kawasaki has worked out really well, next year we may see him on a Maico with Ocelot gear to keep the trend going. Time will tell

James to have surrounded himself with the the has-beens of the sport. Perhaps his new goal is to go out on bottom?

I guess it impossible to think he has to ride a little harder because The 3 new guys have upped the pace isn't it?

I think you will see him on a RedBull backed Kawasaki or Honda. He'll have a deal like Reed where the team will be his and he'll buy his factory parts.

In your eyes or his?
I would say he's made the right move. He's probably making twice the money off the track than he is on the track. He probably won't have half the health issues like most of the former pro's do also. I'd do the same damn thing if it was me. He has more of a future than RC or McGrath does at his age.

You must be the kind of guy that throws his bike away if he gets a flat.

I don't think Yamaha will have him back, unless at a bargain price. Some other brand will pay more. I see Larry Brooks forming a "new" L&M with Yamaha backing with the money from James' buyout. Who the rider(s) will be remains unseen (Pourcel...? Hansen...?). I see KTM offering James huge money (Red Bull connection) to try to make the 350 win. Does he take it?

His whole program is in question now. These new kids are just really good, better than James thought they were. James goal was stated as winning every race this year and demolishing them. Canard has as many wins as James now in 2011. Does he ride the whole outdoors series this year? I think he almost has to at this point, to salvage his rep. The problem with that is he might only be the 4th or 5th best out there this year. I would not be surprised to see Villopoto, Dungey, Canard, Pourcel and Reed...ooops Metcalfe too? going better than him OUTside regularly. Those cinnamon twists catch up with you.

7 of the top 20 who made the main event sat. are on yamaha.
at least 7 of the top 20 in points are on yamaha450.
what is the point about a yamaha 450 .

I think he has to ride the nationals now because there is no way he can sit out the summer again and come back at the same level that the other top riders are at.

..And what do health issues have to do with switching from Kawasaki to Yamaha?

Will be interesting. James brings a lot to this sport to have him not be in it (not saying he won't) will be a blow to the motocross world. To be honest i like 99.9% of the people on here have no idea what James is going to do.
The team is an interesting one with LB in legal negotiations, Reed is owed $750,000 from team as well and currently in legal negotiations. Seems to me from the outside plus with the Cop lights debacle that this team is imploding @ the moment.

James Stewart didnt make MX. MX has been growing before Stewart and will continue to do so after. No doubt Stewart needs to evaluate his management. He usually is all business. My GUESS is that TV show and all the other promotion bull shit has become big distractions. He needs time off but not distractions. LB's departure DID NOT help.

I read an MC interview where he stated leaving MX ended up hurting his career. These other four racers do not fear James no longer. For me, its hard to root against any of the top 5.

His bike just doesn't seem to be working for him. I am not saying it is the Yamaha but they are not working well together right now.

Can you win the nationals by winning only four races? Pretty sure that's all he's racing. Unless his script says otherwise.
