I hear that.... I think no differently of him because of this petty little deal. I do wonder what other things he has done without getting caught. I know I have a long list, some funny some I wouldn't want anyone to know!

The whole thing is just weird. Of all the cars he does it to, it's a car filled with off duty police officers, then he runs from them. Now Racer X is saying not to expect an April Fools joke from them this year, even though its one of the things they look forward to the most every year. Maybe they didn't expect this much media attention from it and it got a little out of hand. Like I said, I have no idea if it's real or not, I guess I will know for sure when Thursday comes and goes.

In looking at his dad's face in that video of him taking him out of jail, I don't know it's painful looking, so unless they didn't tell Big James what was going down? I say it's real, the look on his face alone tells me so.

Yeah, that look on his face definitely does not look like acting, I will agree with that.

Luck of the draw. If you do stupid things, one can never know what the outcome will be. This is as real as it gets.

First take the LB debacle, then throw in multiple dirty take-out moves, sprinkle in a few hard get-offs and top it with an arrest!

There is more going on here that we don't know.

You should've seen what happened here in LA when a police chase ended yesterday. They put about 30 rounds into the guy on live TV. The guy was drunk and took his 3 year old daughter from his girlfriend and the chase was on......she (the 3 year old) was in the car when they shot him dead about 10' away from it.

If he was headed to the airport, I just wonder if he has the light in there to use if he gets stuck in traffic. I've been on both sides of this(Law enforcement and MX rider) and it would'nt be the first time I've heard of someone doing that...

I'm starting to feel bad for the dude.............sometimes you get on a roll where you screw up everything you touch. It was dumb, but really, what are the chances he would do this and the car would turn out to be filled with cops?

It would kind of be like being 20 years old in a parking lot and your buddies telling you to do a standing burnout on your street bike when you leave your work for lunch break.........only to have a cop lurking right around the corner...................................oh wait..............never mind................

This is not the worst thing in the world and the impact on his career should be short termed. But he 25 not 17 and exactly how would any of us feel if some rich, entitled asshole pulled that stunt on one of us so he could get to the airport faster or whatever selfish reason he might feel justified it. Whether it was James or some punk in a Beemer. I, for one, would want his self-absorbed little ass burned in a manner he wouldn't soon forget..

I'm not saying James is an entitled asshole, just that he was playing one the other night. How he handles it from here will tell the real story.

Really? all you did was move over for a guy who flashed you lights and he needs to be burned? I'm in no way condoning what he did, shear stupidity but seriously if you have that much of NO life and make a big deal of this, that's pathetic right there. I wouldn't even waste my time caring about a guy who flashed me lights so I'd pull over so he could get to the airport quicker. In LA cars flash cop lights, whether its a cop car or undercover, who really gives a fuck about it, you pull over they go by end of story.

I know next to zero about how criminal charges and trials go but after seeing that video I say the cops are going to take it very seriously and are probably going to make an example of him. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the fact that they are using the forfeiture law to take his truck mean they are taking it as more than just a prank gone wrong? Unless James has the worst luck of anyone I've ever seen or this is not the first time he has done this. All it will take is a couple of people reporting that a black Tundra did the same thing to them and James will have multipe felony charges against him. I want Reed, Dungey, or RV to win the title but not like this.

MBBadgers,

Here is the problem-there are plenty of scum sucking d-bags that impersonate police officers and they commit serious offenses, so it would make sense that they don't discriminate between those that were just fucking around and those that are ruining peoples lives. No different than making bomb jokes at the airport. You want to ruin a holiday? Go ahead and make that joke at an airport, even if you were just being a smart ass, they will make you bend over. As Mark Twain so perfectly observed, "In order to punish less often, punish more severely."

The cops don't get to decide whether to make an example of him.

This town is full of folks who think whatever they're doing is so much more important than anyone else just because they're doing it. They enfringe upon and endanger the rest of us with the selfish manner in which they drive every day. And yes, the idea of some jerk flashing fake police lights at me because they're too good to wait does annoy me and yes I do think there should be consequences. And since it's against the law it would appear others share my concern. By the way, by burned I don't mean prison but some response that gets the point across.

Since you think my feelings about this are "pathetic" I can only assume one of two things. You are one of those self-absorbed assholes I was talking about or you suffer from self-esteem issues and believe those in the more expensive vehicles deserve deference.

nope neither, I just don't give a fuck about it, I won't lose sleep so that leads me to believe you are older then 55, then I get it. I said what he did was wrong, very much so but how you portrayed your Burned just sounded like an ass, so if you mean stronger consequences then say that instead.

However motivated the police may be, I'm pretty sure the DA is going get something worked out in short order that is proportionate and then get on with working their limited resources on cases and crimes more important to public safety.
