you guys are hilarious...

My first race ever was Mosier. Only time I ever rode there. What a shame.

Go to Underground on Sat,.....Marc will disc (if you want to call that machine that) it deep. They will make sure the track is an exception, Not the rule.
I've never met a man that works harder than Marc.
If that SOB is awake he is working! I think when he wakes up in the morning his shoes are still warm from the night before...

Mosier and Whitney are both long gone, sad to say. I was a Mosier rat back in the day (as was CamP). Nicest thing anyone ever called me.

We have lots of good tracks here in the DFW area. In no particular order, River Valley, Village Creek, Underground, I35, Oak Hill and Nocona are probably the best. My experience with Underground is it will kick your ass if you are out of shape. Then again, Marc Peligrino said that I chose the roughest day ever to come ride UG.
UG kicked my ass so hard last time I went. I was completely out of shape (nursing a compressed L5S1 (I think) disk. Deep sand, a 250 two-stroke, and me with the upper body strength of an 80 year old man were not a good combination.

Still fun though.

Whoa, Paris MX? I have never been there, but I am from Paris - lived there for the first 18 years of my life.

Guess I have to move back now...

There have been lots of tracks in Paris throughout the years, but none have ever made for it very long.

The best Paris track was called Tornado Alley, located just outside of Paris where I used to race with Vanilla Ice waaay back in the day. Great track. I pretty much learned how to ride there.

Paris MX looks fun tho - very sandy because it is right next to the Red River, almost at the Texas/Oklahoma border probably 20 minutes north of Paris.

Hay Jammin, a buddy of mine owns Flat Creek MX near Marrietta, Tx. I have never been there, but it looks pretty good online. It may be closer to you than Paris MX. Give my buddy Joey Hamrick a call 903.556.1206 and go check it out.

I'm from Paris, too. Still have friends and family there as well, that's how I heard about the track.

I remember Tornado Alley, never got to ride there, just watched a few races.

I'm rebuilding a 1980 YZ 125 right now for some vintage racing, but when I'm done with it, I'll check out your buddy's track.

River Valley is pretty nice. It can get busy, and practice is generally open instead of structured. I plan on being out there Sunday.

Ah, flashbacks to the BMX days.

While he's on that side of town he might want to check out Grayson Goodman's practice track off Stacy Road. Epic.

I ride at flat creek more than i ride anywhere else. I have posted most of the videos that are online. We have a absolute blast up there and the only thing bad about the place is that we can't get people to show up. We got a group of about 10 that ride up there all the time. Dirt and layout is super fun but we never get more then one line and it never gets rough. We have even tried free ride days. Oh well, maybe some day people will show up, joey rides himself and has been open for over 2 years so the track is not going anywhere.

bish, if you are just getting back into riding don't go to underground or i35, honestly, they will eat your lunch if you arent prepared. Swan has changed in the last 10 years but overall it has the same feel. It is a easy track. They have organized practice tomorrow starting at 1pm.

I grew up riding and racing with Joey. Way back in the early 90's his dad owned White Sands MX in Valliant, Oklahoma - and we turned countless laps on that track. I used to stay with Joey during the summers and we would ride his track every single day.

I wish I was close enough to you guys that I could try his new track out. Maybe one day....

Whenever I think of Joey I think about the time he broke both of his ankles right in front of me. Damn that looked painful.
He was blazing fast back in the day.

I have a sikk bike with a green powerband, I can pop wheelies and want to race motorcross.

I think I might be too good for local tracks.

I am kinda having a rough time finding Dallas area practice tracks open weekdays.

Looks like Oak Hill will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday, which will be cool.

Any other ideas? I am camping and riding, then heading to the St Louis SX.

Where is everyone riding this Sunday? Thanks!

I was interested in the post as I haven't tried out I-35 yet and wanted some feedback. Think several of us will drive down and try it out Saturday. Interesting post, huh?
