He's gonna need someone else to be in- consistent.

18 points back with an average finishing position of 3rd or so?

math don't add up.

But if he steps it up and wins them all from here out and RV get's all seconds the tiebreaker will go to Dungey for 6 wins vs. 5

Only one guy in this sport can go on a 6 race win streak and I'd bet lot's of money he won't

3rd or 4th best is good enough for a championship, especially when the the two fastest guys bomb out like they've both done recently. Haven't you ever heard "the fastest guy does not always win?"

Dungey will be champ if the other guys crash out while racing for the win. If they don't crash out, Dungey won't win. He could pull it off and prove to be some kind of turtle genuis, or it could turn out to be a dull champion defence. With Stewart and RV potentially wounded, now would be a great time to stamp out some wins.

Dungey did what he needed to do to win the championship last year....no "* " IMO.

With that said,anything can happen and the championship IMO is not out reach for any of the top 4 guys til it is over.
