Millions of years of volcanoes spewing garbage, gases and CO2 into the atmosphere didn't destroy the planet and turn it into a hot ball of uninhabitable fire, but a hundred and fifty years of industrialization can.

Yeah, I can see that

wtf Dave...I come on here to disagree with you and this is the 3rd or 4th thread in a row where I agree with you.
Sorry.
I'll try harder next time.

Do some research before you call someone an idiot.

The amount of damage volcanoes do to the atmosphere are off the charts.
You're an idiot too!

As I said, do some research then get back to me.

So if my crappy math is correct...
Take the earth and divide the surface up into a hundred pcs,
now take one of those pcs and divide it up into a hundred pcs,
now take one of those pcs and divide it up into a hundred pcs,
now take one of those pcs and divide it up into a hundred pcs, and take away 35 pcs and you would have the surface covered by fuel burning vehicles.
If this is wrong, please feel free to correct me.

Some scientists think it's the "earth" that is going through a cycle or change , while some other scientists think it may be the Sun. The sun goes through warmer and cooler cycles every 10,000 years or so , and I could see how that could mess with our planet.

Dave....honestly.....I don't think human beings have been on this planet long enough to really even know what exactly is going on. Either way....."something" is changing I think. maybe it is just a cycle our planet and / or the sun are going though and it's throwing everything out of whack.

Climate change / ozone theories are one thing , but I don't know if that would have an impact on some of the things happening to us in the past 100 years. Gravity , off balance rotation and maybe other things are contributing to the weird stuff going on I bet.

I dunno.......and even if we really "knew" what was going on......there isn't anything we could do about it. We're just along for the ride.

OK, if the Japan Quake moved Japan eight feet closer towards the US and both titled the Earth's axis and created a wobble some, don't you think THAT would slightly alter weather?

The Banda Aceh quake (indonesia quake and tsunami) moved that place by almost 60 feet back in 2004, that also wobbled and moved the Earth's axis slightly.

So, don't you think it is plausible that over time, all these earthquakes, plate movements, tsunamis, and axis wobbling and movements would affect the Earth's weather patterns?

Part of the natural cycle of the Earth warming and cooling as it has always done for billions of years?
I cannot answer this question until some guys in white lab coats tell me how to think on this issue.

That's not what you said. You said you haven't heard much about global warming. It's all over the news still. Even China is talking about it. Thus, you don't read much news or watch much news if you haven't heard about it lately.

Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe.

I think over population and rain forest deforestation will create man's biggest challenges in the future.

As far as I know, most of the research that global warming is based on was commissioned in the last 15-20 years. Yet there was a meeting in 1984 in Brazil where VP George Bush met with economic leaders from around the world, and one of the topics of discussion was global carbon taxes, which are now being proposed as a solution to regulate global warming. Hmmm

I don't know, it seems silly to me. The good old smoke and mirrors - create a problem for the solution at hand.

Plus, why such a hardcore focus on CO2 emissions, yet no one talks about the harmful toxic chemicals produced every year that go largely unregulated. I'm talking about widespread dumping, exhausting, and contamination of water, consumer goods, and food with heavy metals and toxins that cause neurological disorders and chronic illnesses in the population. Where's the regulation for that sort of stuff?

The US's 2nd largest export (I think, if not 3rd) is trash. Where do you think the acid and heavy metals from our electric cars are going to end up? Well, who cares right as long as it's not in our backyard.

Winner!! Winner!!

The Chicken Little Award, a dubious achievement award given by the National Anxiety Center to people and organizations that they consider to be engaged in deliberately false, media-driven scare campaigns regarding environmental matters. No announcements have been made since 2001.

As the cracker's say around here "don't have a dog in this hunt".

But I feel natural cycle more than man made.

Someone actually suggested that there is, has been...and may continue to be Climate Changes on Earth wether we're here or not?

WHAT A CONCEPT!
