Yes one of the fastest riders out there, he’s proven plenty on the 250 time to get to a 450.

Cole or Sacha are not ready for the 450.

You know how many of us are on 450s on this forum and you’re saying some of the most elite guys aren’t ready?

Either way imagine lap 1 in 450 class

With roczen Prado deegan both conens Davies Lawrence’s , sexton etc

Get more elite 250 guys up sooner and 450s would be insane.

Lightning in a bottle, I don't think many would say he's 450 ready using any metric you'd like.

You’re not an elite rider so it doesn’t matter if you ride a 450.  Putting a guy in the 450 class before they are ready isn’t a good idea since they will be going up against elite guys.  Nothing wrong with letting Cole develop a bit more before making that jump, and Sacha needs sx experience before moving up.

Lame. Then you’ll have a bunch of Shimodas, Craig’s, Davalos, shit even AC, take your pick of 250 guys who spent 5+ years in there and wasted their best development years in that class.

If the boss says stay on a 250 you stay on the 250 till a 450 ride is available.

If you don't win out like Davies, you will have to take what you can get in the 250 class. Or like Marchbanks fill into a second tier 450 position and work your way up if the 250 podium is not consistent enough.

Dylan Ferrandis - 25 when he got his first 250SX Championships.

27 when he moved to 450s, and got the 450 Outdoors Title.

Zac Osborne - 27 / 28 the year he got his first 250 SX and Outdoors titles.

He moved to 450 Outdoors after winning 250 SX  East, at the age of 29 in 2018.  Aged 31  in 2020 when he got his 450 Outdoors title.

You transition when You are ready, and, when a Team is willing to pay you to move up.

As I've written so many times, when people are criticizing riders for being in the 250s / demanding they go 'up',  at least the US system allows a rider to change classes, when they are ready / can, and Not get f**ked over by Luongo's " 23 and You Are Out " BS. Though, it does push riders to the USA, to keep and further their careers. Or, back to various other National series / International races, and, World Enduro Champs / the ISDE / Beach Racing careers.

Ferrandis won his title in his 3rd season, Osborne in his 5th.

Kitchen is heading into his 6th Sx season, Shimoda his 8th, and Thrasher his 7th. Not sure how many guys have had great success on a 450 after so many non-championship seasons on a 250.

As I wrote  with Phil , and now you - I Know All of this.

I just feel we here pontificating on a Rider being required / demanded to go to another class, well, it's None Of Our Bloody Business.

Their Career, their Financial decision, Not ours.

I DGAFF what a rider does with his career. I find it a strange trait within people that get so 'into' demanding things from riders.

The old days of 2-3 years in the 250 class are gone except for Deegan and Davies. The new way to win a title is stay in the class 6-8 years then move up around mid to late twenties or later.
